  • I saw this movie about a year ago and I loved it! It's sad to see how the conflicts in the middle east are affecting the most innocent, the children.

  • just saw some of this on BBC, one of the most meaningful pieces of art, the ending was so simple yet haunting (just die so you can be free)

  • 2010 ................ Still very relevant , truly a great movie in its us portrayal of so many very very serious issues that are not only those from that region in Afghanistan , but the reality of ISLAM !

  • You forgot her name at 2:06!!!

  • who is the girl presant the mouvies?

  • i like Natasha very much she is very pretty. Natasha get in touch with me plz.

  • Sorry buddy, but you are hardly one to speak about "truth", considering your ignorant comments both here and your rather sadly pathetic profile page.

  • Nice vid.

I find the Makhmalbaf family so fascinating, esp. Hana, so young and creative making movies, just like her sister. Very feminist indeed.

I've been wanting to watch this movie.

  • ME too. was a great movie. at first i thought it might be a documentary of some kind but it wasnt. even so, i felt so sorry for that little girl, she went to so much trouble to get that notebook and all she wanted was to learn a few jokes.damn.

  • same, when those kids playing as taliban got her....i was like wait a minute?

They pissed me off so much when they ripped out her paper

  • @premachu3

i know, recently i keep finding masterpieces like this but sadly i dont think everyone appreciates them.

  • Im buying this dvd on amazon to support this women.

    She deserves more views/money

and that little kid is a AMAZING actor...bakhtay is tooo cute

  • the end was very poignant.

i think it symbolised the lack of free will or diversity under the taliban.

"die and you will be free".

  • adult issues played out with children

  • say no more. i know exactly what you mean.
