This show has a horrible premise- at least, if they are trying to promote the "rogue" (jerk) and make the gentleman look like a loser. I think this world has run out of true ladies and gentlemen because our society has been overridden by uneducated louts. I would date a perfect gentleman any day before a dumb, impolite brute. The main reason I find dating such a joke- no quality these days (in general, but not as a rule). Cheers.
@TheSillyScilla I truly agree. I would love to see a gentleman in a tv show more like Leopold from 'Kate & Leopold.' He was intelligent, well-read, and yet able to defend himself when he needed. It was said in one etiquette book that a gentleman should know how to shoot, to box, to ride, and so on. People forget these very manly men didn't need to be "macho."

I'd like to take every working sit com writer put them in a giant hole and cover it with cement. I know there are talented writers out there so why do the same awful writers continue to get work? I'd also like to add the people that hire these to the giant cement hole.
Kevin Dillon makes this watchable. The rest just doesn't work. The lead actor is plainly out of his element. 6 episodes tops before this show is yanked off the air. Johnny's Bananas has more chance of succeeding.
@BlobOnASideWalk Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Dave Foley in a show called Kids In The Hall? My man Keith Olbermann over Current TV is a fan of Dave. I also know Foley was in NewsRadio.
@BlobOnASideWalk He seems to get funnier with age. I just hope 3 kids realize how funny their dad is. I know his little 8 year old daughter probably does, she's an actress now. I don't know if anything will top NewsRadio though but this one looks funny. CBS needs some good shit badly, do you agree?
@RealTime88 Yeah CBS really has nothing going for it in the sticom department right now. I mean they have maybe the longest stroy ever told in How I Met Your Mother (going on what 5 years now?) and The Big Bang Theory is ok but it's starting to run out of steam. Personally though I thought Foley would have been a great replacement boss on The Office. I'll watch this for Dave Foley and hopefully it's good.
@BlobOnASideWalk Their 7th season starts this fall. I predict HIMYM will last 10 years like Friends did, the TV critics eat them up and that helps. Foley would have done well in the boss role but he plays a good boss on any sitcom. If the show is a hit Foley might get nominated for an Emmy which many probably feel should have happened in the 90's when he was on NewsRadio. Phil was the only one nominated and that was after he was killed.
@Zer0small I'm a Kids In The Hall and NewsRadio fan. I've never liked Entourage (then again I only watched the first two or three episodes) and I've never seen the other show.
@Fallinglittlestar I was bullied in high school so to see this show I know I'll be laughing and crying through scenes. It's life you can't help it. So are you a fan of Dave Foley's too?

Kevin Dillon looks great but the rest of the show looks really boring.
They should just make it about Kevin Dillon's Gym and he could be kind of a Charlie Harper type guy.
Another words it needs to be more naughty and funny.
I give it 8 episodes out of 24.
