Fantastic. I have only just got my first guitar and i have been attempting to learn some chords and put them to use. The wide majority of videos i view tend to be just people showing off instead of trying to teach the amateurs such as myself. Due to your excellent teaching style i have just played both the riffs you have shown and feel extremely motivated to continue playing the guitar! Thanks a lot and keep up the excellent teaching!
Nice job Gustavo. Simple riffs are fun to play when learning the guitar. they keep a new player interested as he goes through the often tedious drills of learning chords and practicing scales. You do a nice job of it. Keep it up!
Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a bunch of detailed courses for beginners and advanced guitarists that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you and anyone watching this video thinks. Its totally free, and i mean TOTALLY
Thank you SO much for these beginner lessons. You explain it so well and thuroughly and go thru every single thing needed, unlike others who just skim over it and tell you to buy their guide for a solid low price for 29.99$
@jonathanpolkm To avoid sustained undesirable notes you can palm mute slightly with your right hand. It's also possible to mute the string with your left hand while playing. Either requires experience. Start with the right hand sinceit's easier.
i am about to give this a try. i just got a new electric guitar from my boy friend. he plays guitar but he prefers acustic. i want to learn to play so im gonna give this a shot
you are lifting up your fingers slightly which is obsorbing the vibrations from the string, try and keep your fingers firmly pressed against the strings as you move to the next note
sorry, I rarely log in here. Sebilba might be right. One thing however, even when playing really slowly, the pressing and releasing of the notes is quick. In the beginning is hard, but all will come together with time. I guarantee, just stick with it.
question....what do you do when your pinky DOESN'T WANNA BEND lol....my pinky doesn't want to leave home

at times, when i play a note and i release, the note is kinda sustained
like when you touch a string, you hear a note
any way to fix this?

what amp settings do you use please?
jumper5971 1 year ago
@jumper5971 There are not amps. I use a Line6 Pro and a preamp prosonus. I don't quite remember the settings but there is no real amp involved.
