lol. I think you misunderstood. I didn't say they weren't practical. I'm just saying nobody is gonna waste meter with gouken for those resets. Top players don't go for that gimmicky stuff cause you can even miss the ex tatsu which misses on crouched enemies and all your work goes down the drain. If you can use these resets into your matches then show us cause no Gouken player uses tastu or palm resets off juggles. Too risky and a big waste of meter if you miss.
Yes I do know. I've mained gouken since sf4 '09. And I even watch pro Gouken players and despite these resets being around SINCE SF4.. nobody uses them in matches. It's too risky to dash under when their juggle state is pretty high that you can just block the other way. No good Gouken player used ex tatsu, normal tastu or ex palm resets cause it's too risky and a waste. If you say you do them in your matches, then good for you. You should record your matches.
These are not a waste and if you had been using the big man you would know this. Like I said it takes a hit confirm to finish the combo in full but even if it doesn't work you still do almost half damage and still have ultra. Since it takes 3 meters you will most likely be using it after the first round, giving you the upper hand anyway.
Bullcat is the main man and he uses resets similar to these which pay off. I say again you aint got a clue mate.
Nope. He doesn't use ex palm resets or tatsu resets. If he had, they are extremely rare which makes them not that worth while. I've seen alot of his matches too. But hey, if you can do better and show us (like you said) you use these in your matches, record the matches.
Oi, actually read and understand my posts to you. I said he uses resets not these but that he pulls resets off. I hate it when people don't read posts correctly then comment back like they know what they're on about. I never said I could do better I said I use ex palm fadc into ultra 1 all the time and the second set of combos are exactly that but with a hit confirmed reset and ultra 2 instead of ultra 1.
I reiterate I never said I use these in my matches, see above.
For a starter there is no ex tatsu used in any of these combos, there is a light tatsu fadc used to start a combo after a crossup but thats it. All of the others only use 1 ex palm fadc to begin with so if you hit confirm the reset you're in for massive damage.
The "vanilla" is very low risk as it's a 3 metre combo and if you don't hit the reset it still does almost half damage plus you still have an ultra.
I don't think you know what you're talking about mate.
WTF are you on about, I hit ex palm all the time followed by fadc into ultra 1, the only difference is that you don't ultra you jump and hit em with a mk then dash under hp to dizzy and ultra 2.
The tasu fadc puts you the other side anyway so the lp is easy to connect. These are useful resets and can be used in a match. True they are risk reward but Gouken has always been like that. Bullcat uses resets quite a bit from what i've seen.
@Dragonslayer9 While attempting to respond to your comment, I accidentally removed it. Sorry about that. Dragonslayer9's original comment was something along the lines of "This may not be that useful since the opponent can correct their block after seeing you dash." This is true of any cross-under reset, and it is indeed a risk. The result of a successful risk, however, is a K.O.'d opponent in this case, so it is potentially quite worth it.
@Dragonslayer9 its is because u can mix it up at any time u want u make ur opponent guess 50/50 u dont do this every single time and u find different ways to continue it these are just the most effective variants of these combos
omg the damage

I will be using them or atleast I will attempt to.

@MrJoystickid
nobody will every use these tastu resets or ex palm resets.. even top gouken players don't gamble with those 50/50 guesses. they go for raw damage.
