  • i don't understand why people disliked the beatles comment? hah i think he was just saying the beatles sang this too:)

  • Pants on?

  • @sk8erguy552 give up. at life.

  • I don't know what was funnier, President Bush singing or Congress dancing. But I liked it. You should do one for all the presidents; maybe a mix!

  • this song is 90 years old. it is from movie "The sheik" with Rudolph Valentino from 1921.!

  • The best performance of this great song that I have ever seen was by the CGMC (Chicago Gay Men's Chorus). Unfortunately, I don't have the rights to post that.

  • Don't forget it: Bush is a war crimninal!

  • George Bush said America Should drill for oil and people like you say "no". Enjoy the consequences as you make a silly video. By the way, I gave Bush hell for many things, including kowtowing to liberals and failure to expeditiously win the war and rein in his flag officers. (see my video). Great tune---just learned how to play the Beatles version on guitar.

  • I love this! Not sure why, except it is a great song. I think that is what Baby Bush wanted to be, but do not think he will get welcome mat. In fact, he has had to creep into the Iraqi tents unannounced; everyone asleep. This version sounds a lot like Louis Armstrong's. Thanks for posting; it is great!

  • by bush is a monkey voice better

  • XD

    !!

  • haha shiek of araby!

  • the one heres a cover

  • I realize the Beatles did this song before the Phoenix Jazz Band, I just liked the way this version sounded better. That's all.

  • @sheikofaraby2 My knowledge tells me that this song was written by the one and only Fats Waller. The Beatles did a cover of the song, but it was originally written and performed by Fats Waller and His Rhythm.

  • @sheikofaraby2

Compared with this anything, from the beetles is just crap!

and as mentioned 90 years behind.

  • @sheikofaraby2 check django reinhardt's version

  • @sheikofaraby2

And a lot of people sang it before them- it's a 1920's standard.

  • This song is a lot older than the Beatles They weren't even born. This is a song of Harry B. Smith, Francis Wheeler and Ted Snyder written in 1921.

  • Django Reinhardt did it best in '37!!

  • @sk8erguy552 this song is by fats waller...

  • @sk8erguy552 Are you kidding!? The Beatles (George) took a crack at it in 1961, but literally hundreds of bands had been playing it since 1921, when it was composed. It was composed in response to the popularity of the Rudolph Valentino film The Sheik. In 1926 it received new lyrics written by Billy Rose and was retitled "That Night in Araby".

It was a Tin Pan Alley hit, and was also adopted by early jazz bands, especially in New Orleans, making it a jazz standard.

  • this is great

  • lol
