@dannybOMFG I know this was a year ago, but I wanted to correct that. The bell is used near the platforms and in the downtown corridor, but when it crosses over car lanes, there's an electronic horn that imitates a train horn to warn vehicles of its approach. It is considerably louder, and fairly effective.
On a side note, there is no UT campus in Houston, as toddmaddox said, it is departing UH-Downtown southbound toward South Fannin.

Actually this train was coming down the ramp from UH-Downtown station, heading southbound.
