@GreekBeatz Erm well just remember to use cadences. They may seem boring but if you use them properly then it sounds good (I admit mine doesn't have very many and isn't very good)

Also, make sure there's a minor section in the beginning. Perhaps you could also use different techniques suited to the instrument e.g. I used pizzicato. Use trills and or grace notes. Basically show off what your instrument can do. :)

@samcarterreloaded Well I can tell you I got an a star. It's probably my worst composition, but structurally it's okay - the cadences are sound and that's why I got an A*. It doesn't necessarily have to sound good...also, why not try getting an a* of your own why don't you (and a year early...)?

@rars13 oh yeah i have to go in for some of my results lol. ummm we were allowed to do any areas of music study or something like that, i chose to do music for film and theatre since you could basically do anything lol. there were other options like minamilism and stuff like that :) x

@rars13 to be honest im not actually sure lol. you dont have to do it to a clip of something, just make up a tune that would go well to something in your mind. i only chose it because it was proberbally one of the easyest things you could pic because you could create the song about anything >< x

@midnightstarfright lol yeah thought it was cubase :P Most schools either use cubase or sibelius or both. Not many use Pro Tools - it's REALLY expensive like 400 pounds per license(it's normally used by pros. can go up to 1500 pounds for the best version etc...!) , but im sure the school got a massive discount or something....but still v expensive and the only reason my school has it coz we are probably strongest in music...Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, heard of it? What skl u at?
