Jake La Motta is my idol inside and outside of the ring. I really hope I get to meet him someday. About the Robinson rivalry, you guys should know Jake said on an ESPN countdown of the best P4P boxers that Robinson is the best of all time. Still, you gotta respect that Jake was the first to beat him and the only one to beat Ray in his prime. Ray used a stick and move style and Jake used a bully style, of course Ray will win on points. They both admitted all 6 fights were close. Good fighters :)

@bruv4eva Yeah, he did have tons of problems, but so does everyone. When I read Raging Bull, I could really understand his character and idolized him for what he went through and how he would work to become a better person.

@ITALOVER2 You're ass doesn't know much. That happened in their second fight. Robinson won 5 out of 6 fights against Jake including the first one. I think we know who the greatest was. The man who was 123-1-1 by the time he beat Lamotta in their 6th fight. I love Jake, he was a great fighter. He wasn't better than Sugar Ray. They usually had a 16 pound weight difference in their fights that favored Lamotta. I'll give you this much. Ray never got him down and Jake is a great legend.

@kimora9987 A heavyweight vs. middleweight wouldn't be much of a fight. Lamotta had a chin, but not that kind of a chin. You wanna see Marciano fight look up the playlist for Marciano vs. Walcott on my channel. It's the entire fight and the night Marciano had his most famous knockout. He was way behind in the fight going into the 13th when he dropped Walcott as they both threw hooks and Marciano's got their first. I have the last Lamotta Robinson fight too. I don't Jake would beat Marciano.

From what I've heard he hit pretty hard but his hand were fragile, limiting how many punches he could throw. Not meaning to take anything away from the guy, but he tended to outlast his opponents as much as outfight them.

Jake LaMotta vs Ray Robinson 1-6 were some of the best boxing matches ever. The ultimate boxer vs the ultimate slugger.

All 6 fights showed both fighters amazing amount of heart, stamina and granite chins.

LaMotta was certainly one of the best fighters of the era, and one of the toughest to ever step into the ring.
