  • Really good informative video on nuclear bomb.I hope the bomb is never used again in war as it is so utterly destructive. Can the world ever be free of the bomb, I doubt it, there are too many terrorists out there nowadays and potential rogue states, we just have to hope that our leaders show wisdom in their decisions.

  • good job student! Maybe we could learn how to launch an atomic bomb on "The Great Satan"

  • @220hotrod the what?

  • @drmoonrat The Great Satan!

  • the science name robert ophenhemer.robert great minded.america lost father of nuclear bomb

  • I don't think someone would use this for "educational perpouses". It's spelled purposes, BTW.

  • what song is this playing in the beginning? an excellent piece for the intro! great doc, deserving of an A+

  • Ouran Romantic Waltz? Nice :) I used the same music for a drama performance once

  • Good job! You deserved that A!

  • CHOCOLATE RAIN

  • @RabbitHunter07 The Chinese were the first to really make something that resembled the printing press, and it's thought that their advances in the technology leading up to the printing press were derivatives of this. Additionally, the wheelbarrow and gunpowder were both created by the Chinese as well. By the way, the printing press is sometimes considered the greatest invention of all time, and gunpowder has been pretty important too. Take your ignorance elsewhere.

  • what is the name of the first song in this video???

  • white man is a global cancer

white man grows up as a racist toddler

white man votes for evil zionist leaders

white man dropped a nuclear bomb on COLOURED PEOPLE!

    WHITE PEOPLE ARE TRULY EVIL

  • @afrikanbadboy Dude, quite being an asshole. This is a progressive world, and we are moving away from your hate.

  • @afrikanbadboy

are you aware that even malcolm x eventually stopped believing in that kind of bullshit in the mid 60s?

the nation of islam proved themselves to be a backward group of fucking self destructive assholes a long time ago.

you must be reading the wrong books and listening to the wrong people.

get fuckin real. or at least update your racist attitude so you dont sound like some fucking throw back from a bygone era!

    pathetic.

  • wtf is that guys voice about.

  • @mansterfour I was very sleepy and probably high when I did this.

  • @drmoonrat i see, that explains it then.

  • all asian american should know how to love each other. Because we are the one got brainwash by the white men. Now we live in this so-called freedom country. It's freedom but full of racism. Everywhere you go, there's a white men look at you like you don't know anything. White people are the racist motherfucker on earth. If US go to war with an asian country, and they draft me into the army. I will fire from behind or else someone that is racist will fire at me just because I'm an asian.

  • @hlubtiagproduction Not much of what you said made much sense, but I think you're not looking at the big picture. Surely the entire world is racist all over. Not just the whites or the Asians, but every race in every country. This is a racist world.

  • @drmoonrat

White people have invented everything, this fucking computer you are typing on was invented by white people, this world would not be what it is today without the great white man be fucking gratefull we are on this earth to keep you all under fucking control you fuking fish

  • @RabbitHunter07 My laptop is a Toshiba. . . not a very white sounding name. . . eh?

  • @drmoonrat

Charles Babbage first concepted a computer and built the first EVER computer, without him your shitty toshiba wouldnt be infront of you because the japs wouldnt have been able to copy white mans technology, do some fucking research bell end

  • @RabbitHunter07 I think you're missing the point. From the way you talk you seem to believe that white people are the only race that has invented anything and that they are the best an any technology. Not only is that wrong, but if very misconceived because you are basing it on race and not country. If you compare America to Japan, you may have a better case, though Japan still has us beat.

  • @drmoonrat

Can you please give me proof of usefull things that have been created or done by blacks, asians or hispanics that hasent already been concieved and invented by whites? you are a fool to deny what the white race has done for mankind, and stop licking japans ass evrything over there that enables them to function was made by whites in the first place, electricity, concrete, tv screens i could go on and on

  • @RabbitHunter07 The japanese have invented all kinds of wonderful things. The Noodle Guard! Butter in the from of a chap stick tube! The personalized rainwater harvester! Not to mention the Cat Bathing Sock! Where would the white man be with out these things in our lives!!!

  • @drmoonrat

    HAHA

  • @RabbitHunter07 But the truth is, you can't attribute inventiveness to race. The big time inventions and discoveries were by white people, but they were also all during the industrial age which was pretty much just Europe and North America, those being the wealthiest countries, wealth being an important resource. Certainly robotics were American to start with, but the Japanese took it the rest of the way and did amazing things with it.

  • Now i am become death, the destroyer of worlds..

  • @pamongan1 I believe that's what oppenheimer said after he saw what they had created.

  • The only cruel possibility would have been, as some claim, that Japan was ready to surrender before the bomb was dropped. If this is true, then why did it take TWO bombs.

Never the less, the bomb was dropped, the war was over and my father got to go home instead of dying in Japan by some fanatic who didn't know when to give up. Besides, the Japanese killed Americans for surrendering because they felt it was disgraceful. We helped thousands to not have to live through that disgrace.

  • Fuck atomic weaponry.

you all have no idea how much suffering this bit of technology has caused when in the the hands of pathetic human idiots.

If somebody put a machete in your hands and asked you to butcher village after village of innocent women and children would you do it? That is essentially what was done to the Japanese people. And I will ALWAYS hold the USA accountable.

With the dropping of the atomic bombs the United States of America became worse that the Nazis in a matter of seconds.

  • @QuantumAnomaly

What do you mean we have no idea. Of course we know! What would make you think that none of us know how horrific the effects were of the atomic bomb was? You're analogy of the machete doesn't fit this scenario.

And your comparison to the US and the Nazis is far from accurate. 140,000 people died in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki from the effects of the atomic bombs. The Nazis murdered over 6 million Jews and that was without the motive of War.

  • @QuantumAnomaly Your type of hatred is what started WW2. In a war, both sides are in a race to eliminmate their enemy as fast as possible. If the germans or the Japanese would have had the bomb, they would have used it without a thought. Japan proved their ability to be cold and heartless time and time again. It was merely one heartless act eliminating a heartless enemy. We saved lives on our side which is all that counts in war where we were not the agressors. The losers will always complain.

  • hey guys

this documentary fucking wonderful thans for posting

by the way someone could tell me what the fuck does mean EGOLA GAY

    I MEAN GAY=HOMOSEXUAL

    please someboy answer me :CCCCCC

  • @MrDanschuler in the good ol' days gay meant happy, jolly, excited, stuff like that. We turned it into the homosexual thing. because homosexuals acted a little "festive" sometimes.

  • Good voice-over I have to say indeed!

  • lmao "by a girl who was blind"

  • @windmonkey95 That actually wasn't a joke, but it was a bit of a miss leading statement. What actually happened was a shock wave of radiation past through the blind girls optic nerves and she "saw" a bright flash. She wasn't hurt by the radiation, though.

  • I would have given it a D+........for adverse vulgarity & sadistic apathy towards the subject

  • @LitterboxDiorama On the contrary! Surely the music was peppy and some segments comical, but there's no way you can cover up the seriousness of what happend to the Japanees people. . . When I showed this in class, the room went dead silent when they saw the pictures of the aftermath.

  • 'It was done for a class project so some information was just made up. All I wanted was an A+' LOL good one

  • That's how I made it through highschool and college.

  • Interesting! Thanks for the post.

  • Very good but not the music

  • I loved the music. But it is a bit silly really.

  • a bit silly ? ça me derange un peu...

  • C'est un peu comme le surréalisme

  • did u gett an A

  • Did I ever! It was the best presentation in the whole class.

  • haha too late, I laready used some of the information

  • haha i love the pieces of film in between, nice edit dude, by the way, what movie is that where eric idle says "where's the fun in that?"

  • It's the 1989 film "The Adventures of Baron Munchousen" directed by Terry Gilliam, who is a former Python member himself. A very funny film.

  • thanks dude :-)

  • do you know here i can download it? i tried a few sites but can't seem to find a torrent, thanks in advance

  • I have no idea, but the movie is availible on DVD rather cheap. I've seen it at Krogers and Food City's for as low as $5.00

  • nice vid

  • huh?

there was a bomb used after summer of 1945

the tsar bomba it was the biggest atom bomb ever made

  • There hasn't been one used in warfare since, but there has been several made and tested.

I hadn't heard of the Tsar Bomba untill you mentioned it. That is one nasty bomb. I'm glad they haven't dropped it on anyone.

  • yea that thing could make the world shit there pants every day lol.

but yea it is one nasty bomb

  • I'm glad you mentioned it, because I had never heard of it.

  • it was supposed to mean that no atomic bombs have been used in war since 1945- and tsar bomba was a hydrogen bomb !

  • BORING VOICE ... GREAT INFO ..

  • Yes, the voice over was horribly done. Usually I'm great with voice overs, but in this video, it was done somewhere at four in the morning, and I didn't have anything written out, so I had to just make it up.

The info has a few faults, but I got a good grade on it.

  • They are the 1st race on earth being a genuine pig of A-bomb.alot of innoncent people die there. USA only dying their soldier which is the government send those soldier to death pit in WW 1&2. some soldier even dont have a choice. pity them.

but USA stoping the war with A bomb on japan is the right thing? bullshit. there is alot of innocent man women and children. :( lot s of them has side effect from the bomb.till today i dun like USA use military act. they bullshit.

  • It was a brutal attack, and people in Japan are still feeling the effects of that bomb. There are still survivors of the A-bomb in Japan that are treated as outcasts.

On the other hand, Japan was given several fair warnings. Japan knew exactly what the US was going to do, but they continued to thier plans for an all out war on the united states.

The war was emediatly ended, and USA has gone down as the most dangerous country in the world. I hope we never have to use one again.

  • @drmoonrat Sadly the US resorted to terrorism to end the war. The war would have ended in September 1945 as there would have been no more Japanese cities left to bomb.

  • @horoxhoro You don't understand that if the USA had continued the war with Japan without the use of atomic weaponry the war would rage on for even longer and there would be far more deaths, both American and Japanese than there were just by using the atom bomb. It's easy to say that it's wrong when you weren't there to experience the fear and suffering there was back in that day. Of course this was a horrific act, but if you had the choice of reducing deaths by using the atom bomb...would you?

  • huh LAST TIME I checked Japan was blockded by the same Naval Forces they took out in Pearl harbour....

American has a bad habbit of interfering with other countries freedoms -

  • If Japan took out those Naval Forces in Pearl Harbour, then how are they block from them today?

  • The real shame here is that folks don't seem to realize that America tried very hard to stay OUT of World War II. We even agreed to a non-aggression pact with Japan. We were rewarded with military strikes. Dropping the atomic bomb was absolutely the right thing to do. Ended the war. It's a shame Japan was so willing to sacrifice it's own citizenry in the name of misguided pride. Should have just left us alone.

  • That has always been my view. The atomic bomb turned out to be way worse then expected, but it saved more lives that would have been lost if America was in a shooting war. There were several attempt to make peace with Japan and we told them that we would use the bomb. I deffinatly hope we never have to use them again, but I think the war would have been much worse without that decision.

  • Wow, i know you posted this a month ago, but the knowledge we know about the bomb totally contradicts your statement. The bomb actually killed more lifes than a would be full scale invasion of Japan, through immediate detonation and long term radiation. And because of this, War has become much worse. The US and Russia can now destroy the earth and all inhabitants in less than 30 mins with this technology that we call "Peace missles".

  • I agree that the bomb has totally changed the face of War. The movie Dr. Stangelove really speaks to this subject. And the atomic bomb did have a much more harsh effect than anticipated. Had we known how it's outcome would have been, we may not have used it. At the time, I believe the choice was the right one. I only hope they never use a bomb such as this ever agian.

  • When people say "we told you so" comments about this war, you should think about the other side, would you surrender?

  • After a complete unwarned sneek attack on the U.S. trying to bring them into the war, and with knowing that the U.S. has an insainly wicked bomb of pure distruction that could have very well distroyed the world? I probably would have surrenderd. But when you don't surrender, you take on the resposibility of being attacked. That's war.

  • @ionia23 The USA goaded the Japanese into a response in 1941. Pearl Harbour didn't just happen spontaneously. Had the USA joined WW2 in Europe earlier, the war would have been over much sooner.

  • Hi. i liked it. shame you have such a cavelier attitude about what is accurate and what isn't. with a little more work and a bit of research, it could be MUCH better.

I really enjoyed it though, and i'm glad you put enough emphesis that it wasn't reality based. If you decide to redo it someday, i'd LOVE to see the finished product.

    Peace : )

  • I learned a great deal by doing this project, but my only real purpose was to get a good grade in a college class. It was all very rushed, and I only needed to sound like I knew what I was talking about and good visuals was my biggest asset to looking smart.

But I deffinatly didn't want people thinking that this was the actual truth. I don't know how much of it is inaccurate. It's all cheaply made just to look nice. A big fat Cop out... But I may do a real one sometime. Thanks.

  • You Monsters how could the allied forces unleash such a monsterous WMD, makes me ashamed to me be part of the allied nations there's honour in dieing for your country but Nukeing a nation feels like cheating. and what about the Nuke fallout no one ever talks about that. Makes me sick.

  • We never said we liked it. I think it was the most devistating move ever made in a war, and I'd hate to see it ever made again.

How ever, is saved more lives from dieing in WW2 which most likely would have continued for several years after.

  • Amen, there needs to be more people like us in this world. Any bomb, small or big is totally unfair and the biggest pussy move somone can give. People might dissagree that bombs are ok cus there smart and make sure the plane droping it isnt hurt. This is why i believe the Airforce, though it is necessary, is the biggest pussy out of the branches in military.

I mean lets face it, how do you fight something thats a million feet in the air, you cant see, and you cant touch? ... dont quote me...

  • don't quote you? You just said that the Airforce is the biggest pussy out military branch and say it is also necessary...?

  • Ahh i dont wanna play this last argument game, that little 12 year olds play. But Yes im going to stand by my statement.

In the middle east, tell me, who is the real coward? The one with suicide bombers or the one with the plane?

  • I was speaking more about how you called the Airforce pussies, but also claim they are necessary. Why would pussies be necessary. It's either one or the other. You either throw down on them or except thier brave service, but you can't sit on the fence...that's for pussies to do.

  • How is that a brave service? How is that courageous in any way? And its accept not except... And your analogy is horrible, sitting on a fence? XD

Lol dont ever take me seriously cus i hate it when people do... In other words, dont bust a nut over anything i say. I just like to debate over topics that are interesting and see what people say.

    XD

  • Splitting hairs about my bad spelling or the very common phrase "Sitting on the fence" barely qualifies for a debate and pointing it out doesn't justify your contrary remark that the Airforce is "necessary" and "pussies".

And if you don't wan't to be taken seriously, then don't say anything. Pleanty of people actually have serious debate on this topic, while you are just throwing out criticism on the U.S. like a teenage liberal propagandist.

But I hope you enjoyed the video : )

  • First of all, what the fuck is wrong with a teenager? And 2nd who the fuck cares, its fucking youtube, its free.

It was a good video tho, and seriously i hate playing this dam last argument game. Just STOP

    XD

  • I don't really have anything against teenagers. I've been one for a long time. But what I can't stand is hearing people, usually teenagers and college aged kids go on and on with liberal ideals that don't make any sense and have no reasoning.

But I'm not accusing you of that, because what you have been saying has credibility. I only disagree with you on a few things.

  • Nuclear detonations that do not allow the firball to touch the ground, (and prevent the sucking up of debris and dust) are known as airbursts. Groundbursts cause more localized damage, but create fallout. Airbursts offer greater range of blast effects (destruction zone) but without excessive fallout. Fallout is created by the vaporized bomb components attaching themselves to dust and debris. Now, a thermonuclear device detonated at altitudes greater than 75,000 feet cause EMP.

  • Now, a three phase thermonuclear device can be "salted" or encased in a various types of metals to increase the dirty portion of fallout. A Cobalt cased device would cause a severe amount of long lived radioactive fallout. Now. depending on the height of detonation also determines the amount of downwind fallout. Idf any nuclear device is detonated close enough to the ground, dust and microscopic debriis mingles with the bomb residues and created fallout. This is known as a ground burst.

  • Neutrons are the most penetrating of the four types of emissions / rays (followed by Gamma, Beta and Alpha), but because the fusion reaction is not boosted, it has a lower explosive force but a higher radidoactivity emission. A popular misconception of Neutron Bombs is that they kill people but don't destroy structures. This is not true. Structures directly under the detonation point of a Neutron Bomb are in fact leveled, but the blast radius in not as large as a three phase fusion device,

  • Most thermonuclear devices have a third stage built around the fusion stage. This stage is usually made of unenriched Uranium. Neutrons emitted from the fusion stage excite the uranium, making is reach critcal stage and boosting the output of the thermonuclear device. Now the neutron bomb is a thermonuclear device without the third stage or wrapping or encasing of unenriched Uranium. As these neutrons are not being absorbed by any Uranium, therefore are emitted by the detonation.

  • Hydrogen bomb is the next generation of nuclear bomb. Without the Nuclear bomb, there is not thermobomb hydrogen bomb, plutonium bomb and ABC bomb.

  • there was a third bomb??

  • The first was the test bomb. The second and third were the ones droped on japan.

  • k i thought u meant there was a 3rd bombing in japan

  • ok i got two main questions..one: whats the difference between atomic, hydrogen, nuclear and the neutrom bomb? Question two: why do so many of these explosions look so different from each other? White clouds, yellow clouds, red fireballs...

    If anyone knows please reply..thanks!!

  • The explosions were from a number of different bombs. They were just stock footage of bomb tests,so there's no telling what thier orgin was.

As for the first question, I have no good idea. It's just how they are all powered, but I can't give you an honest explination.

  • hydrogen is just stronger than the atom, nuclear and atomic i think mean the same, thermonuclear is hotter, and i have no clue about neutron.

  • The atom bomb and the hydrogen bomb are both nuclear, and are both atomic weapons. For some reason non-thermonuclear nuclear weapons kept the name A-bomb, and thermonuclear ones H-bombs, due to the use of hydrogen isotopes. A neutron bomb is an atom bomb which is designed to output more initial radiation than a standard one. Another type of nuclear bomb is a "salted" weapon, where materials like cobalt are used in the weapon, which creates lots of long lasting fallout, VERY dangerous...

  • atomic bombs are single stage fission devices. The two types are gun type (Little Boy / Hiroshima) and implosion type (Trinity / New Mexico test) and Fat Man / Nagasaki . The atomic bomb is used as the "trigger" for hydrogen (thermonuclear) bombs (a/k/a the "Super"). There are two main types of thermonuclear bombs: Fission-Fusion or Fission-Fusion-Fission. Both use the atomic bomb (fission) as triggers to fuse isotopes of hydrogen (deuterium and tritium) to cause the fusion process to begin.

  • Comment removed

  • not trying to be mean but there is quite a bit of incorrect information such as the information about trinity because trinity was a plutonium bomb and the reason for that wasthat they new the uranium bomb(little boy) would work but they were not sure about the plutonium bomb(fat man and trinity) in the end plutonium turned out to be the better bomb because it was stronger than the uranium bomb

  • Yes, I've looked up more stuff and learn a lot more since I made this video. I have no plans to correct it but I don't incourage people to use this for educational perpouses. I just thiought it looked cool.

  • "and is filled with a few incorrect information"

Then why repeat it? You should stipulate what you got wrong.

  • Well, I only made it to get an A in one of my classes in college. This video is not intended for learning purpouses.

  • what's that music that starts off your video?!? I heard this somewhere before and now i can't get it out of my head, terrific music.

  • i am really interested in Atomic Bombs and its amazing that we can build something so devastating and powerfull.

I think this video is amazing 10/10

  • Great but why did you say at the end that no atomic bomb has been used since 1945?? ok not in the means of war but sorry thats a lie stop the american propaganda these bomb go of all the time to test the and the ones that our countries has know are so what 9 times more powerfull that fat man or little boy. Big bombs like the russian Tsar

  • These atomic bombs so far have not been used since 1945, but I'm sure they have been tested. When someone finally uses one, we will all most assuredly know about it.

I live about 45 minutes away from Oak Ridge, TN where the atomic bombs were constructed, and it is most deffinatly a bad place to be in the event of an atomic war. So I hope nobody uses an atomic bomb again. But what are the chances?

  • the gadget device used plutonium due to the fact that there was so little uranium so they could not waste it on a test detonation. the U.S. saved the uranium bomb for the city of Hiroshima.

  • Yeah, someone mentioned that to me before. A lot of this information was gathered from the web and a few movies at about 2 o clock in the morning in a manner of 4 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if most of it was wrong, but at least it looks good, eh?

  • jesus christ! the height of the mushroom cloud reached 7.5 miles!, dam thats like almost to space

  • 4:14 looks like he was gonna punch him

  • read black rain. great book. good job on this.

  • a great book is called "The Making of the Atomic Bomb" by Richard Rhodes. It is informative and entertaining. I studied documentary filmmaking in New York 13 years ago, research is the what I hated the most so I turned to abstract art films, Im much happier now.

    thanks for the cool video.

  • Well, there's a posible calling for abstract film documentary. Think of the possiblilities

  • The device tested during the Trinity Test was a plutonium implosion device not a "uranium" implosion device as you said. You should change that in you piece which is otherwise very good.

  • I think you're right. I actually did close to no research at all for this. It was for a class and the real trick was that the presentation was impressive enough that it didn't matter that the information was incorrect.

I know so little about the actual atomic bomb , but a flashy audio visual presentation covers everything.

  • You did a great job on your documentary... hope you got an A on the presentation!

  • Thanks, i did make an A, but i could have probably just made some posters or something and got the same grade.

  • canada the great front

  • canada

  • I thought 2 were dropped. You said third...??? wtf?

  • Only 2 were dropped on Japan but there were 3 atomic bombs. The first one was the Test Atomic Bomb the Gadget, then the other two were dropped on Japan. There were only three atomic bombs ever made in the history of the world so far.

  • Great job! Some nice footage of a gruwsome pice of history, but did you take any valium while narrating this documentary :P

  • No, but I probably should have. I did it at about 4:30 a.m. and I was completely out of it. I felt it was the only way to do this documentary truely right.

  • What movie is the clip at 3:40 from?

  • It's called Fat Man and Little Boy. It was all about the testing of the first atomic bomb and all the scientist who were hired to construct it. It's pretty good really and not too old.

  • greeeat video dude. you got a big future in directing.every sound and pic was perfect and well organized. veeery nice work..

    over and out! :P

  • Thanks. My favorite picture is 2:47. It just seemed really weird and unusual. So I used it.

  • YUK

  • lol 6:08 to 6:28 in the film is hilarious

  • I'm fear! Many contries have A.bomb tecnology: Iran, North Korea, Russia, Israel, China, ...

Is real WWIII??? I can't beleve. World needs peace! Money causes global violence and sadness.

    good video!

  • i liked it, hopefully your class liked it, and hopefully your teacher liked it most of all. where did you get the clips?

  • I used a lot of clips from movies, especially the explosions from Dr. Strangelove. And some of the war clips I just snagged off of Google Video.

  • ohh... thanks then!

  • This is a nice vid. I need to find a documentary film about Atomic bomb used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki for my class. Can u help me? Any suggestions?

  • I've seen some good ones, but nothing comes to mind really. I know the History Channel has some really good ones, and the BBC made one not too long ago that was good.

  • ok, cool. TY

  • There is one called "White Light/Black Rain: The Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki"
