  • I'm on my 2nd Windstar. The 1st, a 2002 SE Sport went 327,000km with no problems. I replaced her with a 2001 SE Sport which had 168,000km when I bought it and now has over 180,000km. I still have to get the '01 in for the recall for both rear axle and cruise control, but I have a lot of faith in these vans.

  • Windscars SUCK!

  • This did happen to my family and I on the Interstate 65 mph just this last September, 2010. My axle broke in 2 on the interstate. Ford doesn't care. They said at least you got 6 good years out of your van. Also, our mechanic checked the axle and every thing else before we left on the trip. It's been over 2 months since this happened and we are still driving the rental too small for my family of 6. Thank God we weren't hurt, but we almost got hit on the side of the interstate waiting for help.

  • @momof5iniowa all ford customers of vans that have been recalled should start a blog or something or 7on your side or help me howard. Combined i have read 50 complaints related to ford windstar recalls, some much worse than others but still bad nonetheless. Ford needs the people to knock them down a peg cause right now they are just too cocky.
