  • I havent made any Fulflej covers yet, but i might record Shells, in the style from this EP. I'll let you know how it turns out :)

  • @jaketheman091 Very nice. Can I request this one too? :P

  • What else did these guys release besides Wack-Ass? Merely rocks!

  • the 1st attempt at the quiz has been made - dhenretta answered in a personal youtube msg to me, "you sing the words to microwave like a child on the ep and regular on the lp...ding ding." nice! that's actually another difference i hadn't thought of! except i sang like a child on the lp. not the one i was thinking of, though. there's another. (small hint - it involves a different song, not microwave). reply here if you think you got it...

  • if your into Flej go to Archive.org and type in Fulflej in the search bar for super spectacular content i uploaded...not spam

  • this is jg from fulflej- nice post! as only the true flej fans know, this was the only track on the ep we didn't re-record for wack-ass (i assume that's at least part of the reason u posted this particular song). a little quiz for anyone who dares to delve deep into the dark world of Flejland- what's the other difference between the ep and the lp? (hint: it involves one of the songs recorded on both). reply to my comment so i'll get an email when u answer. &much thanx to blink56k for this post!

  • @JaeSenji Sorry for the late reply, but so awesome to get a reply from you! Yes, I bought the album on amazon because I couldn't find a better quality version of the song than the one on archive.org. I really wish you guys would re-recorded others like "Nothing Compares" and "Power I Adore" (even if it's an acoustic youtube upload!).

Another difference I noticed. Parallel to Gravity on the EP has more raspy vocals than on Wack Ass Tuba Riff.

  • @blink56k good to know folks can still find originals of that ep somewhere. again, for anyone reading this who doesn't already know from comments i've left on other flej related videos, you can get any flej stuff you want (via a full-quality upload) directly from me for free - just hit me up at jgreschke2013@yahoo.com.

still not the difference i was thinking of. it's more major than that. another clue - it has to do with the way the 2 versions of the song are arranged. thanx...!

  • @JaeSenji SHELLS, has a different arrangement than on the LP....the EP version has a few extra instrumental breaks, and the transitions to the chorus keep the same verse riffs. it actually sounds cooler

  • @jaketheman091 WE HAVE A WINNER!!! that's the difference i was thinking of, and it's a fairly significant change in the section between the last verse/chorus and the break down towards the end. little known fact about that change - it was COMPLETELY James Iha's suggestion to remove all that instrumental stuff and just transition right into that end section. we sat in his living room in Chicago w/guitars and together worked out how the new version would be recorded for the LP.

  • @JaeSenji Copies of "wack-ass" still show up sometimes in bins in France. Not too often but I do come across the CD from time to time.I actually bought one to a friend last year. "The Microwave EP" is a different story...I don't think it ever came out here!

  • I have this ep too! its awesome.
