The Mig-29 is a good fighter rugged and manuaverable the draw back I know of is the curcit breaker panel in behind the Pilots seat not a good postion when your in combat and need to reset curcit breakers. And unlike the F-16 it doesn't need a concrete runway I believe it can also take-off and land on grassy field if it is dry.

MIG 29 OVT is not prototipe, all MIG 29 can be updated with trust vectoring, but MIG 35 is new version, have more powerfull engens. Same story was with misiles, after Soviet colapse, German (SOVIET) Archers were tested in USA and they were much more maneuverable and acurat than any American Air to Air misiles.

As for 29 OVT it's technology demonstrator it's not serial build plane and it's not in active service - hence your comparison is out of place.
Our (Polish) air force has both MiG-29's and F-16's and one of our 29's pilot said that MiG chances in dogfight with F-16 looks really weak. I think he knows what he's talking about :) . Of course MiG-35 it's amazing plane I'm not denying that .

Yes you are right. And missles are as good as American ones (or even better). Unfortunatly Polish press tryes to compare weapons which aren't in the same class. For example one of "expert" compared AMRAAM to R-73, and... R-60. Of course he said that range is smalller etc. He didn't compare R-73 with Sidewinder, and R-27 with AMRAAM.

Proszę podaj linka. Z tego co słyszałem w wywiadach z pilotami, jak również z dokumentów, wynika, że gdy Ruskie coś robiły to miało działać i startować choćby z zasyfionego lotniska. Amerykańskie samoloty są porównywane do "spodni" do których się "wsiada" (jakby na miarę), ale też trzeba wiele zachodu przy ich eksploatacji - a to lotnisko musi być wręcz "odkurzone" bo byle śmieć to problem. Rosjanie takimi rzeczami się nie przejmowali i samoloty robili tak by latały.

@mikeplay007 Mig 29 and Su 27 are not multirole.Of course they can fight ground targets but they are no match to F 16 which is better multirole.But as for dogfight Mig is better.Also I say about older f 16's because new F 16 block 52+/60 are compareble to Migs at dogfight and all depands on pilot but As for ground targets and other multirole tasks f 16's are much better.

@MrThorn88 No, In a documentary about F-35 and its problems, Pierre Sprey (father of F-16) declared F-16 as a good medium fighter not a serious ground attacker.

The exercises between USAF F-16 and German MiG-29A's showed that in ACM the greatest advantage the MiG-29 was its worlds first helmet mounted sight coupled with the AA-11 Archer which gives it a kill zone greater than any aircraft serving. F-16 pilots found out that any aircraft within 45deg's of the nose of a MiG-29 was always under grave threat. The ability to target aircraft with helmet aiming proved to be such a success

długo można by sie wadzic czyje maszyny są lepsze. jedno jest pewne ruskie na pewno nie są gorsze od amerykańskich. większosć patentów stosowanych w myśliwcach i innych samolotach została wymyślona przez rosyjskich inżynierów np. katapulta. Taki niepozorny i podobno "przestarzały" samolot SU - 22 to jest przecież rakieta ze skrzydłami.

O jakie kierownice właściwie ci chodzi? Dysze z wektorowanym ciągiem? Mają je tylko prototypy i Indyjskie Su-30mki, no i oczywiście f-22, ale w Raptorze działają 2-wymiarowo, tzn góra-dół, w Su-30 także na boki A tak po za tym to każdy silnik w myśliwcach ma regulowaną dyszę zależnie od ciągu - np. na dopalaniu jest całkowicie otwarta, na mniejszym ciągu ma zmniejszany przekrój wylotu.

No i co z tego że Mig-29 ma 2 silniki? Jednostkowo silnik z f16 (F100pw-229) jest znacznie mocniejszy od RD33 to jest jakieś 130KN do 81KN na dopalaniu, do tego F16 jest znacznie lżejszy, pusty waży 8,3tony a Mig prawie 11ton, te kierownice o których raczyłeś wspomnieć są zamontowane tylko na prototypach Mig-35/Mig-29ovt, seryjnie to są montowane tylko na Su-30mki dla Indii.

te kierownice tez wystepuja w 29 moze nie maja mozliwoci kierowania asymetrycznie (i niezaleznie kazda) ale maja, przynajmniej niektore wersje nawet tutaj gdzies widzialem na ktoryms filmie polskie migi z takim ustrojstwem

Proszę podaj linka. Z tego co słyszałem w wywiadach z pilotami, jak również z dokumentów, wynika, że gdy Ruskie coś robiły to miało działać i startować choćby z zasyfionego lotniska. Amerykańskie samoloty są porównywane do "spodni" do których się "wsiada" (jakby na miarę), ale też trzeba wiele zachodu przy ich eksploatacji - a to lotnisko musi być wręcz "odkurzone" bo byle śmieć to problem. Rosjanie takimi rzeczami się nie przejmowali i samoloty robili tak by latały.
