On that note sir, that you did not even know the picture was there: Is that not a testiment to the fact that on state grounds, religious simbols are not as respected, and therefore would be better off on religous ground?
(continued)..The city of Bridgeport was founded my Godly men, and it is a city that has a rich heritage likewise, so it's no surprize that the school tried to keep the painting up as long as they could. Now there is a mirror there, BUT the beauty of that is this: If you really want to see what God/Jesus looks like, look in the mirror, WE were created in HIS image. Unbelievers need to wake up and realize that you can't ignore God forever, because it will cost your life someday if you don't change
Considering that I graduated from Bridgeport, I can say, that the picture was once removed for about four years because of a student saying that it should be removed. Funny thing about it, is that after the person graduated, they put it back up. Ever since the picture was taken down, I can tell that it's affected everyone that now walks the hallways of the school...(more in the next comment).
Many prominent Christians, although beleving the bible primarly the word of God/God derived, have no trouble taking a closer look at some parts of it (for instance, Noah's ark) and seeing them for what the ancients saw them as: Tales with moral implication, not based on history. It is a testemint to the faith of such men that they maintain their belief in the Almighty while agnolaging such implication.
What blows my mind is that everyone keeps skirting around the main point-That the religious right, if they could, should just campaign for what they really want-a constitutional ammendment abolishing the separation of church and state. To the religious right I say, stop being a bunch of pussies and man up-lobby for what you really want already and stop the b.s!
if schools are failing, then why is the HS grad. rate at 85 percent compare to 41 percent before the 60s when christianity was allowed in many public schools?
God is in your heart. Jesus is in your heart. Love is in your heart. Caring is in your heart. Images are on a wall. The person who stole the image should be brought to justice. Why hasnt that person? Listen to my video on YouTube and learn to love the Good Lord. Grandpa Clarence Jones on YouTube.
You have a wonderful school. Why hasnt the criminal who stole the image of Jesus been brought to justice? I feel Jesus or God is in your heart. Images are one thing. Love in your heart is much more important. Listen to my video on YouTube: Grandpa Clarence Jones tribute to our troops. God bless Bridgeport, but, especially her people of good will. cj
I go to this school...I didn't even know that Fox News did a story on it...You know a few weeks after the law suit the picture was stolen! It has yet to been found...
Hannity doesn't get it. We DON'T DISCRIMINATE, so we don't need to recognize ANY religion which in doing so would favor one over another. This isn't difficult. Hannity just wants his religious beliefs to be endorsed.
Correlation with test scores and lack of religion is stupid and fallacious, typical though when you have no argument, go for the correlations instead of the facts.
Lynn: I believe a public institution shouldn't endorse any one religion.
Hannity: Why do you hate Jesus you monster?
Great debating there Sean, way to keep things on topic.

Shame on you, Jesus! (clearly the artist didn't know what he looked like)
This whole thing would be funny, except for the fact that they do want to indoctrinate kids using tax money.

I am a Christian. But other pics of Jesus for others. Should be made on me, not other pics.

Does Lynn's opponent realize that most of the majority Roman Catholic countries in this hemisphere (many officially RC at times) are poorly educated?
