i think this is gorgeous. it is easy to pick stuff apart, but i was amazed when the lead started singing and it filled up beautifully when the others backed him up. great song. great job.
that being said, for a high school acappella group, this isn't bad at all. there are alot of good things going on; some very nice things happening with the dynamics and the accompaniment is rather interesting and well-arranged. the lead is flat in a few parts, but he was probably scared half to death. i bet he'll be really good (is good) when his voice has had time to fully mature. good job, i say.
the thing about constructive criticism is that it has to be constructive; claiming that you can do better is not constructive in any sense of the word. neither is brusquely pointing out some flaws and providing no suggestions or even reasoning behind your opinion. you're just baselessly bragging and/or, being a dick.
i commend GSE for attempting this, but anyone who has followed jump at all, has heard this song so many times they are going to pick out everything that they can! GOod job for trying!
Yeah the guy singing was my roomate at GSE. He is a great guy, and he was ther for drama, not for singing, though I think he did a great job for having learned that song in about a weeks time, so all of you lay off. Until you are the front man, dont criticize someone else! Plus if you sounded like crap ( which I'm sure you have at one time or another) do you really want people to try to make you feel like crap?
since when is constructive criticism being a dick? and im sorry to say, but yes i could do better. MANY people could. if that's the best male soloist out of that group, then their in trouble.
And if that's how you spell "they're", then the English language is in trouble. Focus more on your studies, and focus less on being a douche that gives opinions no one cares about. And don't get mad-it's constructive criticism.

By just a few cents, and he's a good musician by not stumbling from forgeting the lyrics.
Also I doubt you can even get your voice to sound that good.
