The only way to break the cycle of hatred is to educate. Once u attack a person's faith, he/she creates a mental fence around himself. And if they are from a region that is under constant political turmoil, they'll convolute everything to be a attack on their faith. If America wants to instill democracy in Iraq(which is a secular value), the native population will see it as an attempt to deride their faith. Anything that contrasts their natural way of life will be seen as an attack on faith.

The only way to break the cycle of hatred is to educate. Once u attack a person's faith, he/she creates a mental fence around himself. And if they are from a region that is under constant political turmoil, they'll convolute everything to be a attack on their faith. If America wants to instill democracy in Iraq(which is a secular value), the native population will see it as an attempt to deride their faith. Anything that contrasts their natural way of life will be seen as an attack on faith.

It is not a religious battle. It is battle of civilizations. The western world has one set of fixed values and the Islamic world has another set of fixed values. That creates a difference inidentity. And no matter what u say, u have to admit western countries were raping middle east of its resources long before 9/11 happened. A back lash was inevitable. The politicalization of Islam gained new life after the 1950's mainly because of the exploitation of land with Muslim majority in middle east. Just look at the cause that was given to establish the state of Israel. The land was supposedly given to them by GOD. Is that a good reason to tear apart a sovereign peace of land and establish a power state? The people of the region had only one common identity and they were made to rally under that ideology.

I agree that people should be more tolerant of other people in general and that soldier was an idiot. He honestly seemed mentally handicapped. But the deaths in Gaza in the riot aren't his fault. If someone offends me and I get angry and hit someone it's my fault for hitting them. You can deny personal responsibility there. That said, I do NOT approve of this guys general hatred. That jackass in the video is an example of an extremist, and an idiot, which exists in every religion (or in the case of atheism, lack of). All religions have caused harm in some way to humanity. I believe in the commonly accepted christian god, however to say I know everything because a book said so is wrong.
