Thats a great module - it really hits some interesting notes on certain settings. where is this sequence coming from ? Is it via midi input?

The pitch voltages for the background sequence are being generated using a Doepfer A-160 with some attenuation and offset from the Doepfer A-129-3 and then quantized using the A-156.
