the difference is in the movie the clones are fighting to hurt or kill the original pokemon in some since. but in the show there fight to get stronger and will stop when the opponent is down and out.

1:36 Prior to the fight, Mewtwo said that he was blocking the Pokemons' special abilities...yet Pikachu can still call up lighting. He doesn't use it to fight, but still a little mistake. Also, all the trainers shouting "Pokemon aren't meant to fight!" after this made me LOL.

What's most striking to me is how feral this fight is compared to a trainer battle. They're not busting out the special moves, they're getting down and dirty with it, a real brawl. I imagine that's how they'd fight in the wild.

They're all taking it personally. All the regular pokemon bear a hatred toward Mewtwo and his clones because they captured them and cloned them.

Mewtwo bears a hatred toward them because humans see clones as nothing but experiments. He wanted to change that, and prove they can be as strong as their regular counterparts.

So they're fighting with their physical strength, each one trying to prove they're stronger.

In my opinion the first season of pokemon was the best. Ash was closer to his pokemon and all his friends, and Black and White feels like a crappy remake of the first season. I want just want Misty back, with the hints in every episode that she's in love with Ash. Ash learning and caring about every person and pokemon he meets, instead of the idiot he is now. And Broke doing more then just hitting on girls! I want to go back, it's from when I was so much younger and it's the best show ever!
