@woodsleeps I moved to Chorley now. All the nurses in Chorley are really nice. I suppose it depends on who is doing the hiring and firing where you live. Please don't be disheartened. Having nice nurses that care really makes a difference.

well my long term goal is to become a registered psychiatric nurse and i for sure will not be like that! My passion is to help people who needs it, not torment them. Although, i have seen in the movies how some nurses in mental hospitals can be horrible and heard some stories in real life. I just want to change that bad impression and make a good difference!

@TheVirgoLight I used to be a learning difficulties nurse. I wanted to help people too. I did this video when I lived In Rochdale. Most of them seemed pretty mean. Now I've moved to Chorley They are all very nice. Suppose it depends on what sort of person is doing the hiring. Good luck. It means everything when you get a nice nurse looking after you.

Yes I know not all psychiatric nurses are like that. I am just taking the piss out of the nurses I hate.

Rather than becoming offended by these comments, perhaps they (and the vids) will enbale a few...psychiatric nurses of many years...to see things from a different perspective, namely the receiving end of these treatments. How helpful and professional they are is somewhat irrelevent to how they (and the practitioners) are perceived by patients who are receiving (and dealing with) them. Wouldn't this be a beneficial insight to have?

I am a psychiatric nurse of many years. I strongly object to some of these comments. I work in a good facility. We use some drugs but also behavior modification. There is a definate need for these facilities and well as the nurses. They deserve to be treated with the upmost respect and dignity. Obviously not every nurse is cut out to be a mental health nurse. And it is at time alot of fun.

Is it ganging up on people , dragging them off, pinning them to the bed , sexually assaulting them by pulling off their pants and kinckers and injecting them with something that will make them feel so shit they're suicidal? Or is it something else you find fun? Perhaps it's being able to embaress people by watching them have a shit when they're on one to one's?

unfortunatly thats pretty much it from what i experienced. i agree most psychiatric nurses are dickheads. its the worst type of nurse out there pointless unhelpful damaging. Drugs! get real people there is no bases of any evidence that any of them drugs work. Only if you want to be heavily sedated and damage your brain.

You made me laugh again! Been locked up 5 times now, something to do with aliens. But it's not I keep hearing its called Fullon. the little voices and wacko TV you know. Trouble is that its been going on for 12 years now and I'm still no the wiser. Its enough to drive you insane ,and it has many a time. However it does seem to give us a better sense of humour. keep it up.

Thank God (or the aliens) that we have a few more rights as mentally ill in the US. I would hate to go to the UK and have an episode. They seem to like needles and little too well. I think comments such as we don't want to take our medication because we like the voices just shows how much the medical profession is really clueless and uncompassionate.

That is excellent! I have only spent a total of 10 days in a psych. hospital, and even I know that the staff are crazier--and, in some cases, dumber--than the patients.

I'm an x-psychiatric patient! I love the sketch - but I know not all are like this as you said! But you can really find nurses like that! Ha ha!! Love it! Especially with the keys!! And I've tried to get an injection in the butt - not funny!
