As Ive said it before, Mexican isnt a race. There are white mexicans, blacks, etc. 'La Raza' unites all saying 'forget race, we're our own race'. Let's try to keep it from getting personal, okay. Yes I am brown and proud to be of Mexican decent. I have run several businesses, founded a non-profit organization to help the impoverished of all races and religions and spend my weekends helping the homeless. I wasn't getting personal, it was supposed to be satire on la razas strange stance on race, but why not use those merits and not your skin tone to push the issue. And remember you are commenting on a page that states "brown pride" It's just a cop out to use race as a reason that you are a good person, not that you are, pride in culture and heritage is more important than skintone. Besides many Mexicans I know have white skin and it doesn't make them any less mexican right?

Yes "mexicankungpao" I am smarter than that. THERE IS NO DEBATE. There are only people who support the civil and human rights of Latinos as much as any other group - and people who look for any thread with which to unravel the fabric of our struggle.
It is not Ad Hominim attack to state that it is naive to pretend that white America was ever going to "allow" us our rights without organized effort - it is a self evident fact.
