the shadows, they consume all. the enemy draws near. i ask nought of hatred, nought of your sacrifice, but of respect. we have fought bravely men. we honestly have. but... our glorious days of freedom are gone. the days go by quicker, the sun darker each time. those who wish to stand with me, take up your arms, for our final glorious battle as free men. slowly but surely does death take us all eventually. *unsheathes sword, holds it high* freedom for all, or death to the few... live well men....
Yes, wrong genre for the consoles. The majority of XBOX 360 owners are American kids with limited intelligence, in other words the last person that would be interested in Tales of Vesperia, the sales speak for itself.
Rather than thinking about your pathetic allegiance to one console why don't you think about the shit it got Bandai Namco in, that is one of the reasons no more Tales games are being localized apart from Graces.
@brendude95 "no more Tales games are being localized" if Graces is getting localized, wouldn't that totally contradict your statement? And where did you hear that from anyway?
@brendude95 I think they should start from the beginning and release Tales of Phantasia Cross Edition to the market, or through PSN for PSP or the PSX version to the PSN for the PS3. Then they should release Tales of Destiny 2, which they could also release through PSN, both versions. I really hate that, how could you release the original (ToD1) but not the sequel? That's not right... doesn't help that Eternia was retardedly rename Tales of Destiny 2. Then release Rebirth, Innocence and Hearts.
@EsperTinaVI Hmm, now that I list all the games that have not been localised, it seems like such a long list than how I imagined it in my mind. This would be a lot of work for Namco, I doubt they would even consider such a thing, but doing such a thing would definitely boost their sales and get them out of that economic slump that they're in. If they think it's too much work, it's their fault for not releasing the games in the first place like they should have.
I, for one, can understand Japanese but cannot afford the ridiculous amount of money required for importation. And there are but so many games I can play through homebrew. Trying to get ToD2 to play on my computer is beyond me, I can't figure out how to use that software... ):
Would be great if the older generation games were released aswell, would be irritating if I have to drag all my old consoles out of the attic though.
And that is so true, if Namco would just localise the games then that would generate huge sales. But that is why I drew attention to the PS3, because the JRPG fanbase is literally all on the Playstation 3, especially in North America. Not to mention SONY could publish the games for them.
It is GOOD there are no more tales games for the XBOX 360. Wrong genre for the consoles, it almost killed the entire franchise. You should be grateful you got Vesperia.
tales is not modern or medevil its fantasy which is a whole diff genre i love all the tales games <3 im on my 3rd play through for Tales of vesp at the moment
Holy crap! 3rd time through? Gah . . . beat the game once, but I'm saving up my grade since I decided to chicken out and put it on easy half way into the game xD
wow easy? id never forgive myself if i went that low lol, First was on normal, then hard. ive only just started my 3rd im wondering if i should try unknown difficulty or not xD
Ha ha ~ Oh jeez, I know I should be disappointed with myself, but the boss fight at Ehmead Hill was tough so I put it on easy, and after awhile, I figured I'd just put it on that for the rest of the game. Ha ha :) Now I'm paying the price xD
I would love to do a 1/2 Experience, Unknown game on Vesperia. (Mania mode with 1/2 Exp on Symphonia was awesome, and 'Unknown' is a much harder difficulty still)
I think about doing a 1/2 EXP, Unknown game, though, but then I think... "hmm, probably should do something else with my life."
I love it as wellXD... I think it is more of the, ancient civilization produces more modern/futuristic technoligy. Then, it is destroyed (in general) and current time varies. It seems that they learn how to use the ancient technology slightly (slightly midevil). Oh, and love the song.
same here. but what would be the idea? this is not mine, i saw a fanmade video about the opening of ToV2 and the idea of the game would be perfect that was in the description. yuri has gone missing and flynn is the main character.
@BaggysAnime I would prefer for Namco NOT to make a sequel. Yes it's really awesome to see more adventures form Brave Vesperia, but its best for the fans to ponder how the characters continue on in the future. Those feelings are what makes the game's meaning much more memorable and enjoyable.
@LucasHorclox and also, since all the blastia had to be given up. doesn't that make it impossible for them to use artes? so then your character wouldn't be able to use artes or namco would have to make up a way.
@hokusai yeah, i had thought about that a couple days after posting that comment. but before making a second tales of vesperia, they should really localize the ps3 version.
Tales of Vesperia medieval? Blastia are basically Magic machines that run of aer/the varient of mana in the game. I could of sworn I saw futuristic looking guns (Barbaros) and other stuff as well.
None of the tales games are truly "medieval" in their settings. True, there's swords and battles and such, but did medieval peoples really have the technology to turn crystals into vast sources of power for huge technological innovations?
I can see what you mean about the general technology level, but I don't really think rheards and arm cannons (Forcystus) are that medieval either. To me, the most medieval Tales of game would be Phantasia, particularly in the past time frame. (aka Claus and Arche's time)

One of the few Tales of Vesperia songs I enjoy. The rest are too metal-ish considering the medieval setting. Maybe they should give Sakuraba a break. IMO, the last good score he made was for Tales of the Abyss and Valkyrie Profile 2. Everything since has been downhill.
