@Hucleberrygrove- FUCKknows!!!;-)..I remember you on another post, forget which one.I said i knew you username some place, couldn't think where..it'sOceanColourScene.Funny,i knew as soon as i seen it this time:-)
I remember taping this song from a British radio station on the long wave. It was a lot of noise and somewhere in the distance you could still hear this song. LOL... I bought the album only last year. :)
This is definately not the 1977 Techno group "Space", the song "MagicFly" the 70's SynthPop/Techno group.even The Rockets from the 70's was Killer Techno music. The songs "Astral World" And "Electric Delight" Both cool,Rocked out 70's Techno!!! (What is this, again?)
I know... I was on wikipedia looking what songs were on some of the older Now that's what i call music albums (from my childhood) and i came across these guys again!
Great Band, Very Melodic, For what I've read here in the you tube blogs' seems to me that SPACE got some video exposure, and couple of good songs but didn't surpass beyond that.
a really underrated band of the 90's,there was always so much hype surrounding oasis and blur's britpop war, some quality artists went almost unnoticed
that bass is a gem, like the song, gotta admit tho i didnt pay it much attention at the time wen i was 16,wen alls i listened 2 was either strawbery fields or dark side of the moon, luv it now tho, feel like i let space pretty much pass me by at the time,as i remember even in lpool no one went mad 4 them who i knew, stupid bastards we were,in the 90's bands like space, really good bands, got took 4 granted a bit as i remember, crazy i know,4 me eg can only recall hearing aven angels once! on xmas day97
A really nice young lady in the 6th form used to have a Space sticker on her A-level folder, and I asked her what sort of music the band made, and played me a few tunes. with Feeder in 1st place, this band became my 2nd fave. Sadly I found out she had a boyfriend and we were getting along brilliantly, but those were really happy memories:), it's amazing how well a band can change your life :).
reminds ME of the good old days when my parents used to play space when I was little! Most of their songs bring back memories!! I love them sooo much (well the lead singer) I'm completely obsessed
I can't believe I still remember the words to all the old stuff!!!

How did this band get a record deal when there was already a band before them called Space that was fairly popular in Europe?

I don't know why they all hated this song so much, it's brilliant. They did a garage version of it at a gig I went to in 2004.

Eugh. Cast were even more substandard than Space. Some of these bands have been forgotten for a reason.

Certainly a lot better than the crappy music you get around today.
