After washing my hair, I put some straightening creme through towel dried hair. I then brush it, and blow dry it until its nearly dry.

Then I usually go from my left side to the right - taking sections of about an inch and put the rest in a rough/messy ponytail or hairclip. I then take the piece I'm straightening, put some anit-humidity spray on it & then straighten it! When I've gone all over like this, I put some hairspray through it & go over my fringe & other areas that need to be done more.

hiya,

the frizz can start by blowdrying your hair with the hairdryer level with the brush,

whereas if you face the hair dryer down to the brush, sort of above it facing down, it would blow dry it all down not flying the little frizzy bits everywhere.

try it it might work for you;)

Blair, this was really helpful because I got ghds a while ago and havn't used them much out of fear of ruining my hair and having to have half of it cut off.

I have like, the same hair as you and you use waaaaay more heat tha me and it looks nice. I think the secret is being careful like with the sections and stuff and using heat protetant so I'ma start paying more attention to my hair as well as makeup afer watching this, thank you :)

If you don't want to back comb your hair, you can use a little Elnett Volume Spray by L'Oreal. Lift a section of hair and spray it a bit, when you put the hair back down, run your fingers upwards and out through the section and it really pumps it up! :)

To help with the frizz... I have mad frizzy crazy curly hair, anyway, to help get rid of the frizz over time, you should use a comb instead of a big paddle brush. Paddle brushes break your hair, and thus causing it to frizz :)

My cousin told me I should use an afro comb when it's wet, too. Still have to try it. lol

I have been straightening my hair since i was in about 5th or 6th grade and now i am about 18 and over the years i have really changed how i actually carry out the process. right now i am using a chi and i was my hair ing the morning then blow dry it to make my hair someone straight then i do about the same things that you do without all the sectioning. But one thing i do different is that i pay a lot of attention to my bangs or the hair right on my brow and make sure that they are all straight
