Wow Russell is the best player ever !!! Season 19 was absolutely stunning. He just make them funny. In season 20 all of them was watching him and he had been still dominant and beat them ... just the Jury dont choose him because they cant admit that he is one class better than all of them !
Russell is just frusterated cause he went to the end twice and didn't win both times. Also he played back to back Survivor so he didn't have any time to correct his mistakes. Same with Amanda. Also if he changes his game into more of a social and heroic game, he may not be that popular as a player and we wants to be popular. I would be frusterated to, if I made it to the end twice and not win one of those times.

Parvati definitely should have won... The jury is so weak and they vote based off of their immature emotions and anger at being voted off. Putting it simply we watch the show for different reasons to how the jury votes. I think Tyson's exit was the most brillant play I have ever seen but it is human nature not to say "your better than me " and "it is just a game" so while Russell is fun to watch he could never win. Season 22 was his own fault his ego couldn't accept he had to change his game.
I do agree with Russell on one thing, Parvatti deserved the win. As much as I hate everything her character represents she overcame alot to make it to the end. I think if she had taken out Russell in final 5 she would have got respect.
@12from121 Yeah, she should have taken out Russell. It was because of her alliance with Russell that made the jury turn against her. Also, it was said that behind the scenes, she and Russell would continously take out JT's letter and laugh at it-in front of the remaining Heroes. It wasn't the brightest move to make.
The jury has been bitter, all the way back to season 1. Players should go into the final TC expecting fully that there will be members of the jury who will be bitter. It's the finalists' job to try to beat that bitterness and convince those people to look past it and vote for them to win. The jury react like normal people would, so should the finalists. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the game, or the jury system. It's been done the same way since the show began and should not change.
it realy amazes me how some1 who has won 2 out of 2 times is regarded a bad player, and some1 who won 0 out of 3 times is a legend player who got "screwed" by the jury.

@TheCardam0m Yes, I have to say that in Pearl Islands Sandra played ok but Lil was on some weird drug to take her to the final instead of Fairplay. It gets overlooked but for me that decision is possibly the dumbest of all time. Sandra, Rupert and Christa destroyed the Drake alliance though by making it clear that Fairplay and Burton were 4th and 5th.

@vicked914 I think it is about entertainment. Russell makes big bold plays and likes blood on his hands, love him or hate him he is fun to watch. Sandra has a knack of getting to the end while barely being noticed and not pissing the jury off. So Sandra play is more effective but if everyone played like that Survivor would get cancelled.

No Russel, america shouldn't have an influence in the votes. We see so little of the game that we would make terrible choices almost every time. I still agree with what tom says though. I'd say it's 1/4 of all of those things he mentioned: strategic, social, physical, and luck. All 22 people who have won their seasons totally deserve it.

@thegamexxx1234 Yeah, but there's a big difference between floating in Big Brother, which basically involves lying around a house for three months and kissing up to whoever's the HOH without attempting to influence the course of the game in any way, and floating in Survivor, which still involves roughing it for 39 days with very little to eat and very little sleep, especially on the nights when a storm hits.
I'm shocked that Parvati didn't win. It would've been a legend. Sandra winning twice isn't really a legend to me. It's just getting lucky both times. Sandra is a decent player but NOT the best player ever. There are so many players that are so good at this game and have been voted out. Some of those people are better than Sandra. Winning the game doesn't make you a good player. There's a huge difference to know how to get to the end and be an amazing player.
It's funny how Jeff is talking about how everyone has won at least one challenge except Sandra. What about James? Did you know that James has never won an individual challenge either? Look it up.
Sandra deserved to win. Sandra is the greatest player ever. Rob tooks 4 times to win, Richard Hatch is overrated, Parvati would've lost if James was not medavaced and Russell has a worse social game than Philip. Sandra is the best ever without question. @ipodnano4334 That hits the nail right on the head. Sandra knew exactly what she needed to do, when to do it, and what to never do. She distanced herself completely from the "snake with two heads." And unlike Parvati, she did not mess up her final arguments; in fact, they were absolutely perfect from start to finish.
But the best part? She has full and total control of her dimmer switch (which ended Cirie's game pretty fast).

on the other side of the coin: i feel like parvati/boston rob are the best survivor players: they both performed all 3 aspects very well in their prospective seasons: physical, strategic, and social games. those 3 elements make a great winner and a deserving one.

rules of the game are the rules of the game, the person who deserves to win is the person who is able to not get voted out, to make it to the end, and get the majority of jury to vote for you, which is the point of this game. I think you people forget that this game is a very social game, it's how u get along with people, how u treat people. It's a social experiment, U have to be insane to think that (never getting voted out and getting the majority of the jury votes) (twice) means nothing. 2. The heroes never feared Russell, they (like everyone else) never got to see his gameplay in Samoa, so they had no idea what his true character was like.

She kicked Lil's ass with her matter-of-factness and she made no bones about how she played. Very difficult to play that way and stay ahead

Sandra deserved to win because she's a lot more heroic than Parvati, who's the archetypical Survivor villain for God's sake, and Russell, who's incredibly brash.

I mean Russell was honest about how he played the game at the final tribal council; he didn't kiss up to anyone and stuck with what got him there and openly admitted that he might not get anyone's vote.

If I was there, I would've based my vote squarely on their actions in the game and how truthful they are in their answers to the jury. To that end, I would be torn between Sandra and Russell.

A number of people were willing to vote for him, even JT. It's not that Sandra is a bad winner this season, I just think Russell was so much more deserving. @AllRequired Exactly. There are only a couple of juries that I think were crazy bitter (i.e. Onions in Gabon, but Susie couldve won Randy over). Russell had plenty of opportunity this time. I think he was just really fatigued from going back to back. His answers were horrible.

The should have gotten better heroes like Yul, Ethan, Bobby Jon, Jeff (Palau), or even Rudy (if they could get them). Cirie, Amanda and Candice were not real heroes to me.
Same with Redemption island; good idea, bad implementation. They should have a season with 16 SUPREME players and constantle have 2 people voted out, one comes back, again and again.
Loool they should give russell an award for being the one of most notrious players with boston rob .... this season had a great cast, although i wish that they would have brought ozzy and yul in heroes, but i didnt like how it ended, like i didnt want parvati and sandra be in the final .... i preferred people like colby, rob, tom or any of these top players... and i wish richard hatch was back but he was under house arrest when they did this season ..

@SeanMalachyDolan I think sandra won because she pointed out that the only reason her strategy didn't work is cuz the heros wouldn't let her in. so they did the "heroic" thing and gave her the million. Personally, I love Sandra cuz she's so funny, but parvati did play a great game as well.
@maria44688 , it's clear to me that Russell was so poisonous that it actually damaged Parvati's game at the same time. So it is clear Sandra's moment that won the game for her was when the Hero's failed to take Sandra up on her offer to take out Russell. Had they done so, Sandra would not have gone thru with it and stuck with Russell. In that case, I think Sandra still makes it to the end but now I think JT, Colby, and maybe even Candace all would change their vote to Parvati now.
@psychokinrazalon , no I am saying that if the Hero's had actually gone thru with getting out Russell, Sandra would have had to go thru with it. If she hadn't she would not have gotten the votes of Amanda, Candace, possibly Colby and J.T. as well. Sandra lucked out with the hero's not going on for it. She was able to throw it back at the Hero's and they rewarded her for it, so that is all that matters.

I would disagree that Sandra beating Russell is as bad as Natalie beating Russell. Yeah Sandra is a "floater", but at least you can tell that she she set out with this strategy in mind and that she at least knew what was going on in the game. Natalie White pretty much didn't even know where she was.
Anyway, Parvati should have won these season. She's every bit as strategic as Russell, with a much better social game.

Putting it simply we watch the show for different reasons to how the jury votes. I think Tyson's exit was the most brillant play I have ever seen but it is human nature not to say "your better than me " and "it is just a game" so while Russell is fun to watch he could never win. Season 22 was his own fault his ego couldn't accept he had to change his game.

I do agree with Russell on one thing, Parvatti deserved the win. As much as I hate everything her character represents she overcame alot to make it to the end. I think if she had taken out Russell in final 5 she would have got respect.

Also, it was said that behind the scenes, she and Russell would continously take out JT's letter and laugh at it-in front of the remaining Heroes. It wasn't the brightest move to make.

The jury has been bitter, all the way back to season 1. Players should go into the final TC expecting fully that there will be members of the jury who will be bitter. It's the finalists' job to try to beat that bitterness and convince those people to look past it and vote for them to win. The jury react like normal people would, so should the finalists. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the game, or the jury system. It's been done the same way since the show began and should not change.

It gets overlooked but for me that decision is possibly the dumbest of all time. Sandra, Rupert and Christa destroyed the Drake alliance though by making it clear that Fairplay and Burton were 4th and 5th.

@vicked914 I think it is about entertainment. Russell makes big bold plays and likes blood on his hands, love him or hate him he is fun to watch. Sandra has a knack of getting to the end while barely being noticed and not pissing the jury off. So Sandra play is more effective but if everyone played like that Survivor would get cancelled.

I'd say it's 1/4 of all of those things he mentioned: strategic, social, physical, and luck. All 22 people who have won their seasons totally deserve it.

I'm shocked that Parvati didn't win. It would've been a legend. Sandra winning twice isn't really a legend to me. It's just getting lucky both times. Sandra is a decent player but NOT the best player ever. There are so many players that are so good at this game and have been voted out. Some of those people are better than Sandra. Winning the game doesn't make you a good player. There's a huge difference to know how to get to the end and be an amazing player.

@AllRequired Exactly. There are only a couple of juries that I think were crazy bitter (i.e. Onions in Gabon, but Susie couldve won Randy over). Russell had plenty of opportunity this time. I think he was just really fatigued from going back to back. His answers were horrible.

@Chronicoffender You know what. I agree with you. Russell isnt just brilliant, he is a legend in Survivor. If it werent for her two tiltes, Sandra would just be another forgotten former cast member that no one would care about. The only player above Russell is Boston Rob, and even that can be argued.

@Josh54152 Good to see other people with a brain and yes Boston Rob is definetly up there as one of the greatest! shame russ and rob didn't get to really get they're show down in redemption island (season22) cause a real round 2 would have been awesome! and agreed sandra easily one of the most forgettable players in survivor history if not for her to fluke victories! why she was brought back to HvV continues to puzzle me! Johnny fairplay from her season was a bigger villian and a better player!

@Chronicoffender Yeah for sure Fairplay would have been nice. I think the idea of HvV is really good but the implementation they had was bad. The should have gotten better heroes like Yul, Ethan, Bobby Jon, Jeff (Palau), or even Rudy (if they could get them). Cirie, Amanda and Candice were not real heroes to me.
Same with Redemption island; good idea, bad implementation. They should have a season with 16 SUPREME players and constantle have 2 people voted out, one comes back, again and again.

Loool they should give russell an award for being the one of most notrious players with boston rob .... this season had a great cast, although i wish that they would have brought ozzy and yul in heroes, but i didnt like how it ended, like i didnt want parvati and sandra be in the final .... i preferred people like colby, rob, tom or any of these top players... and i wish richard hatch was back but he was under house arrest when they did this season ..

@Chronicoffender You really are stupid. Sandra didn't fear Russell, and her strategy of getting rid of him didn't work only because the heroes failed to recognize him as the villain mastermind. In return for trying to help them get rid of Russell and Parvati, all the heroes voted for her. Sandra was a true hero, and that's why she deserved to win more than the other two. Russell's an asshole and Parvati's a cunt. Case closed.

hahahaha if sandra can win twice there is a flaw in the game. Damn straight. Sandra sucks. She or Parvati wouldn't be there if russell didn't drag their asses. He saved parvati at least twice. Russell may be an asshole but he cleary played the best. The real flaw is that everyone on the jury is a dumbass.

@SeanMalachyDolan I think sandra won because she pointed out that the only reason her strategy didn't work is cuz the heros wouldn't let her in. so they did the "heroic" thing and gave her the million. Personally, I love Sandra cuz she's so funny, but parvati did play a great game as well.

@maria44688 , it's clear to me that Russell was so poisonous that it actually damaged Parvati's game at the same time. So it is clear Sandra's moment that won the game for her was when the Hero's failed to take Sandra up on her offer to take out Russell. Had they done so, Sandra would not have gone thru with it and stuck with Russell. In that case, I think Sandra still makes it to the end but now I think JT, Colby, and maybe even Candace all would change their vote to Parvati now.

@psychokinrazalon , no I am saying that if the Hero's had actually gone thru with getting out Russell, Sandra would have had to go thru with it. If she hadn't she would not have gotten the votes of Amanda, Candace, possibly Colby and J.T. as well. Sandra lucked out with the hero's not going on for it. She was able to throw it back at the Hero's and they rewarded her for it, so that is all that matters.

I would disagree that Sandra beating Russell is as bad as Natalie beating Russell. Yeah Sandra is a "floater", but at least you can tell that she she set out with this strategy in mind and that she at least knew what was going on in the game. Natalie White pretty much didn't even know where she was.
Anyway, Parvati should have won these season. She's every bit as strategic as Russell, with a much better social game.
