The second time he wakes up and turns, when the camera actually turns towards the killer just a split second after the music hits its peak... It gets me every time.

The one responsible for that timing is a genius, because it wouldn't have created the same comical effect if the camera turned towards the killer on the exact moment the music hits its peak. Amazing how a mere split second can have such a huge effect. Like with many of M&W sketches, just great attention to detail / timing.
