So how do JDAM and the artilerry work? how do i order the strike?

@CodGeronimo For JDAMS you require a commander, and you call it in with your officer kit's radio. For the player controlled mortars you use your SOFLAM (Officer's binoculars) to order the strike

@Saladinkaio The one seen in the video is not jet dropped but the 500lb little brother of that 2000lb jdam is player controlled by jets. Same effect just smaller. Pr now has player controlled artillery which is awesome.

Is a JDAM like a arty strike in BF2, I mean is it automated by the computer or is it delivered by an actual player in a jet?

@Saladinkaio It is done by a combination of players, a squad leader can place a laser on a target with the binoculars, when he places the laser any jet/attack chopper can see it and fire at it. There is also a red semi truck that is rigged with explosives that will create a blast that big. If you like teamwork this game is the best one you will find. multiple squads actually working together and communicating, and not playing rambo.

Haha, I was playing on the desert map on the TG server, when our squad leader was like, "Uhh squad I think our commander issued a JDAM on that base over there, if you guys want to watch get out your binoculars and get up on that hill", so we get up on the hill and watch the confused enemy and then..... BOOOOOOOOOOM and there is tones of general laughter for the next minute and a half... oh what a good time!

Depends if you like this kind of game, I personally love it to death and I was a bit hesitent to get it. If you like slow paced realistic combat games you will love this. Its a cunt to download and install so you really should research it first.

YES!!!!! Although if your talking about just BF2's system requirements, head to the mods website and check out theirs, it is more needy than normal BF2..... im waitin to either get internet on my comp in my room.... or let my mom put it in here and replace this one which sucks

@Hitman0247 True, its not for your average COD player. I hear douches on forum sometimes that download it say "its too slooow QQ". Thats the beauty of it, thats what war is, not running around ramboin everyone with head shots or running up to a tank with a C4. In PR you cant fuck with a tank if you're infantry without a HAT, he'll spot you miles away :D Also, the intimidation factor in PR is freaky, its almost like RL when you spot an enemy close to you.

I downloaded the core and level files, as well as the core and level sp files, but after I installed them all, the mod did not work (error:unauthorizedaccess). I tried all of the USA mirrors, and the non-installer version, but still I recieved my error message. I reinstalled bf2, but that didn't work either. FH2, POE2, BF2Nmod, and AIX all work fine.

Probably not... the devs are actually working on creating their own entire game called PR2 which will be built on a non-BF engine.

Someone will probably have a small look at modding BC2 because it is a pretty neat engine... but the levels are quite small compared to BF2 even, so the scale won't really be there.

it's a JDAM, in PR u have area attacks u can request, one of them is the JDAM, but there are also mortar strikes and artillery strikes

u know what i miss? the old bf1942 co op of special ops+artillery. i would get near an enemy base...spot a target with my binoculous, and then the artillery could aim at it. it was awesome :] now its all automatic :\

u still have to lase your targets with the GLTD so u are 500 meters away maximum

you should read the manual. connection problems is because it's bf2, spawning in mid air is because you try to spawn on others rallypoints.
