Yeah, it could have been alot better. However I don't think it was bad considering I had the worst throat infection I've ever had in my life. Do you sing?

It wasn't a competition, it was a final exam! So it was a bit difficult to get out of it and do it another time... but it's done now and I got a distinction :)

The song is NOT by Aretha Franklin. It was written by Ronnie Shannon. It is sad that the singer performing this song either doe not know who wrote the music she is attempting to sing, or does not care.
Have respect for the music, credit the SONGWRITER.

This song was PERFORMED by Aretha Franklin. I didn't SAY it was WRITTEN by her. I covered HER performance. I think it's sad that you feel you need to come on youtube and make assumptions on what people supposedly don't know or don't care about. Who are you to say what respect I have for the music - or don't for that matter?

Then you should, in the first instance, indicate specifically that it was originally recorded and/or performed by Aretha Franklin. You've just not been specific enough when attributing it. That's all. It is, however, always best to credit the songwriter rather than a given artist who has at one point or another recorded a song. You can't go wrong that way.

Nice effort. This song could be executed better if you focused a little more on slowing the tempo down. It would give the vocals the room they need to shine.
