Originally released by Paramount as part of Grantland Rice's "Sportlight" series [Rice was a famous sports writer and columnist who dabbled in radio and theatrical shorts as well] in 1940 (this is a mid-'50s U.M. & M. TV print). Narrator Ted Husing himself was a well-known radio sportscaster at the time {I believe he also narrated current sports highlights for Paramount's newsreel}.
That Gene Gagliardi was a real pip!
