No, not a large time commitment. I use the book "Super Baby Food." It takes me about an hour to steam and puree two kinds of food for him for about a week. If it's something easy that doesn't have to be cooked, like avocado or banana, maybe 20 minutes. I freeze everything in ice cube trays, then defrost two cubes per serving. Super simple -- I really recommend the book! Great ideas in there.
Thats so awesome you started him right off the bat on fresh, home cooked food- good on you!!!
Im totally kicking myself for not doing the same... I was just so worried about what to give him and what not to at certain ages so we went with the jarred food from supermarkets- BIGGEST MISTAKE WE'VE EVER MADE WITH HIM!!! Now he wont accept fresh food :( Im so diappoi9nted and get really stressed and a bit down about it- i think about it everyday and how much i wish he would just accept it....
Buying jarred food is expensive... He eats 2 a day and each jar is AU$2 or more so that roughly AU$60 a month... :( Fresh fruit and veg would be so much more practical...
I wish so bad i could go back to when he was 4mth and giv him fresh right off the bat...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you! And happy 4th month to the little prince :) Hes such a big boy now!!!
Ya know, i heard mixed reviews of jarred V fresh... Kaidens Pead. says "well if you think about it- at one point it all WAS fresh so theres no big deal..." then there are people who tell me they have basically NO nutritional value whatsoever!!! But i mean, surely they wouldnt be allowed to sell them is they had no nutrition, right? Argh, its so tough bein a parent and always second guessin your decisions :S
love watching your videos! wondering if you would do a video on sleep, how night time sleep is going? how are naps going etc'?

Thanks so much! We started doing the fresh baby food solely because of the price, but I think the nutrition is about the same, isn't it?
