  • Nice video of the Island, I've lived there all my life and its still beautiful.^^

  • Thankyou, you are veryu lucky to live in suah a wonderful place:)

  • used 2 work there

  • cool:)

  • Thanks for uploading!! Brings back a lot of good memories. Visited Alumn Bay for the first time 23 years ago, and spent 2 weeks at the island with my daughter in 2006. Kind regards from Norway :-)

  • You are very welcome and thanks so much for taking the trouble to comment!:)

  • Hi, please could you let me know the name of the castle / building at the very end of this video? Many thanks for sharing this with us! :)

  • It is Arundel Castle, one day I will get round to editing the video! Thanks for commenting:)

  • That is some beautiful island! I'll put that on the list at #8756 of places to visit :)

  • LOL! That is a looong list!:)

  • It gets longer every day :)

  • Dominika. What a lovely name. She is so lucky. My hubby hardly wants to go anywhere.

  • Thanks! That is a real shame, life is all about exploring!:)

  • I hated that chairlift a was a woss and had to walk back up

  • I don't blame you, it was quite scary!:)

  • Must it be a ropeway to go to there? I hesitate...

  • Oh, you have to try it! But you can walk down the steps if you prefer:)

  • Anthony , you are rotten taking poor Dominque on the chair lift.Poor Girl hope you are better now. I would not have gone on that. You deserve a bravery award for going on.

  • She did not protest too much, Linda! She nearly dragged me on a rollercoaster this weekend!:)

  • Great, great, great! I'd heard of the Isle of Wight, but never seen any video of the place; so thanks for the tour!! :)

  • Thanks, Pete! Dominika found the chairlift more scary than the London Eye but you have to experience it! Can you imagine how she will feel, standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon?!:)

  • LOL...no amusement parks for Dominika! HOLD ON!! *****

  • LOL we are going to Great Yarmouth this weekend, we will see what she will be brave enough to do!:)

  • Hopefully,we will all see! Cheers!

  • Nice video. I once canoed to Isle of Wight from a place called Calshot, where we went for a school trip. I really liked the way you narrated the video with lots of different clips. Well done!

  • Thanks Gary, a nice memory I'm sure! Travel videos are what I mostly make, I met Dominika on YouTube a year ago and, now that we live together I enjoy showing her all that our green and pleasant land has to offer!:)

  • LMAO!!!:)))

  • It looks like the two of you had an especially good trip this time. You are a good videograhper! You keep catching the right shots! I envy the good time you guys had. Looks like fun.

  • Thanks, Rex! I am enjoying showing Dominika the sights and we appreciate you joining us!:)

  • beautiful vid, 5*, i wish i was there!, thanks anthony for sharing. Cheers!!!!! lilly

  • Thanks Lilly, glad you could come along!:)

  • Absolutely beautiful video of you both! You both look so happy together. ~Nancy~

  • Hi Nancy! Thanks! I hope all is well with you:)

  • Wow, what an amazing ride - like a rollercoaster only slower! I'm sure when I went there we had to scramble down the rocks. When you were describing the sand i was hoping you'd say something like 'This sand is supposed to represent the coloured sand down on the beach but in fact it comes from a sand-colouring factory in Cardiff'

  • LOL! I realised the sand was not genuine but I did not want to spoil the illusion!:)

  • Great video, my Grandad used to live there years ago and I went across with my Mum (on a choppy day!) I didnt see the flying chairs!!! I wish I had! I am going to send this to my Mum...

  • Hi Lisa! I hope you mum enjoys it! The chairlift is at The Needles on the far end of the island and it is a must do!:)

  • Great vid!

My English ancestors settled in Isle of Wight County in Virginia in the 1600's, not far from Jamestown, the 1st American colony. Sandy

  • Thanks, Sandy! That's interesting! When I go to the US I am always amazed at how many places share the same name as ours!:)

  • lovely video anthony and dominika,i was born and spent the first 26 years of my life in hampshire, love and respect scotty and libby:0)

  • Ah, I thought you didn't have too much of a regional east anglian accent!:)

  • It's always great fun to watch the two of you on your adventures! :-)

  • Hi, Caylyn! I do enjoy editing these just to see what we managed to capture on film!:)

  • First boat ride ever? Amazing! But I'm sure she's hoping that was her last chair lift ride ever ;^)

  • LOL! You could be right about the chairlift, Ken! Also, Dominika saw the sea for the first time in October during a day out we had in Brighton!:)

  • It is always so nice to see my favo Anglo/Polish couple - I love you lots

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Hi Natasha, always good to see you too!:) xxxxx

  • This is just another awesome video. You do such great work

  • Thanks Eddie, so do You buddy!:)

  • Hi sweetie!

My first time on the boat was wonderful I was very excited and happy views were amazing:)

    Chairlift OMG fortunatelly I survived:))

    it was very scary:P

  • Was it more scary than the London Eye? Probably! But I did hold your hand all the way my sweetie! xxx

  • yes my sweetie and it was the only one way that i agreed to go on that chair hehe xxx

  • Smart ride...;)

Last time I was there there were no cable cars down to the beach. We had to trek down the cliff and on the beach were loads of naked hippies.....!

Mind you that was in 1970...O.O

    Nostalgic stuff A&D.

    Dziękuję:)

  • Hi Ray! My mate goes across to the festival every year, I am sure there are less naked hippies there nowadays!:)

  • I don't think they play the music the hippies like there anymore.!

    So, less naked hippies;)

  • True! I must admit it is all radio 1 type music now, I am slightly too young to listen to radio 2 full time, I need radio 1.5!:)

  • Cool

  • Thanks!!!:)))

  • Wish I was there!!!!!!

  • Hey Rusty, so do I!:))

  • Excellent video, this second part is very good, especially being in that thing that gives much fear the idea that one can fall, given the drop is dramatic, I could feel all, was something exciting and terrifying at once , But the view was amazing! 5 stars!

  • Thanks, that's kind of you! The chairlift is very exciting but, at the same time being quite tranquil and the views were spectacular!:)

  • wow that takes me back! I was there when I was young. I remember being to scared to go up on the chairlift :s But now I would rather go on them than walk lol. We won a treasure hunt in the isle of white. The prize was a free holiday back there again. We stayed in a caraven park there. I cant remember the name of the place now. I think we also went over on the hover craft. And I was disappointed as I was unable to see out of the windows. I really enjoyed this vid guys! thanks!

  • Thanks, Byron! I have never been on the hovercraft, it looks cool! Actually we had a complimentary crossing on the ferry so we jumped at it! Thanks for your PM, I really hope everything turns out ok for you both:)

  • that was awesome!!! I'd love to do that! Are you afraid of heights Nika?

  • Hi Brian, I think she is slightly afraid but I coax her on this sort of thing often! I will get her to peer over the edge of the Grand Canyon next year on honeymoon!:)

  • Cool!! you can have her walk on structure made out of glass that juts out over the canyon. And to think, I live so close and have still never been to the grand canyon.

  • Me and Pete went on that thing last year, they wouldn't allow cameras on it for fear of scratching the glass, so we had to go on it seperately and film each other from the side! You really ought to go and see it for yourself!:)

  • what about using a cell phone camera? hmmm. . . . I gues that too would fall under an object that could scratch the glass. ha ha ha!!!

  • Great one, the cliffs around the beach are amazing.

I always thought the best thing about the isle of wight was their relaxed speed limits :-)

  • Thanks, Ran! You are right, in fact the whole relaxed pace of life is what appealed to me!:)

  • I was about 2 the first time i went on the needles chairlift, mum was terrified i would fall out.lol

great video of a lovely part of the world.

    Amy xx

  • Thanks, Amy! Actually it is still pretty terrifying for a man of 33 LOL!:)

  • Another top notch video Anthony. 5 Stars and faved

  • Thank you, Sir! It was a great weekend and it is a pleasure to edit!:)
