Finally got around to doing the hairstyle! I did it very neatly and it came looking good, I added a pompadour and messy texture when tying my ponytail so I wouldn't get a drastic, slick-back look. It complimented the neat braid. I tied it into a knot later on for a semi-formal event and it looked fantastic!

This is the sole reason for me growing out my hair. Haha. You have the best braid tutorials and hopefully after a while I'll be able to do this without just a braided nub at the end. I havent looked through all of your videos yet, but Allison Sweeney wore a headband braid on one of the Biggest Loser shows and I thought it was very cute &sophisticated.It was small french braids(in the middle,down side of her head where a headband would sit)which braided all the way down & pinned behind her ears. hey could you tell me if you're braiding under or over? because braiding over seems to be the "normal" way to do it and when you don't mention otherwise, i always assume you braided over, but sometimes you do it so fast it almost looks like you're braiding under... and does it even matter? thank you so much for sharing, this is one of your best tutorials!

my hair is pretty long (at least 4 inches past my shoulders) and i have very few layers. but i ran into a problem at the very end, the last two outermost strands were shorter and once i wrapped them around and started to braid i only made it about half way down the length of the other braids, any tips to help this?

ps. You really don't have thin hair! Your ponytail looks so thick, especially to get braids that substantial out of just a third of your hair. With so many people wearing extensions, it's difficult to tell what the norm is, but your hair's definitely not thin. :)
