you know what, I think one meal a day is WAY more healthy than three per day, once you start eating less you begin to realise how MUCH people eat in their daily lives, like, massive amounts and the body really just doesn't need that much food right? You are doing so good, and have such a level approach. I am kind of on the same one meal per day plan too.

One meal a day will slow it right down!! Phycologically ,it may feel good but YOU KNOW this is not the way! There a nutrients in food that our bodies need!
The 5-6 thing a day has not been scientifically proven:) It's fitness marketing to help you buy/consume more. I think your metabolism slows down when....like you die. Fasting can help release catecholamines giving you a mood lift/focus.
I used to be big into bodybuilding,and in that sport nutrition science is way ahead of the medical feild! And with all the studies in...your metabolism runs faster on the 5-6 small meals,clean meals though! When you go long periods without eating,the next time you eat ,your body fights to reserve that meal in it's fat cells...it's a survival mechanisem!
But hey,Im glad you enjoy your plan,and it's great to see you doing so well!
I've done the 5-6 thing in the 90's and lost weight, and I'm doing this thing and losing weight. In the end its calories in/out that counts according to the law of thermodynamics.
Way cool. I'm not one-mealing it everyday, usually on workdays since I'm so busy. It works out great. Yeah, too much food causes an inflammatory insulin-dominant state which may give rise to diabetes etc. I'm still enjoying the junk food but with my fruits & veggies too, but less food overall:)

Thats why I don't obsess over the scale. Better to go by both body measurements, how you look in the mirror & the scale. More data is more objective & less OCD.
