  • Scott Baio shreds!!!

  • It sound Great! I have always wanted to build my own amp, something like 2203 or related. The only but is that I am too stupid to build my own amps. But if I built my own amp I guess I would like it to sound like this amp here. Great.

What's the song you are playing?

  • That song is" Lay it Down" by Ratt.

  • Thanks, I watched this clip several times, the song is familiar to me but I couldn't remember what was this song's name. Of course it's Ratt :)

  • @LandryAmps Thought it was something Ratt-related. NAILED the tone, and playing style!

Very nice. The amp cleans up quite nicely too, despite the high-gain.

  • can i ask what kind of effects unit you are running? sounds great!!

  • Thanks. I have an old midiverb in the loop on a delay setting, the LS100 reverb, and a little bit delay in the mixdown (if I remember correctly). When I play, I always use reverb and delay, but it's hardly noticeable when recorded, so I usually add some delay to the recording.

  • sounds incredible, but it's so expensive I'd have to save for 10 years...thanks but no thanks!

  • I keep expecting the backround to "fall out" and the rest of Ratt to appear and join in after that opening riff!

  • Great! Is the amp a 2203 copy?

  • No it isn't, but it is related. : )

  • EXCELLENT!

Did you make the guitar also?

Do you make an 1x12 combos?

  • Thank you. Yes, I did make the guitar. No, i don't make combos; yet.

  • so where can I buy this bad boy Landry LS100 at? Nice sounds btw!

  • you can only get one from me. : )

  • Yeah I'm gonna have to get one of these myself. I bet it sounds awesome through greenbacks as well.

  • Great amp. Very responsive. Plus your playing really helps demo your amps capabilities.

What version are those WB pickups

  • They are Firewaters. They are a little hotter than a stock paf, but still not as hot as the Carvin m22sd that I originally had in the guitar, but they are much smoother; I've really grown to love them.

  • Wow that sounds even better than the original recorded riff

  • Thank you, that's quite a statement.

  • I totally agree, meatier and punchier sounding

  • Sweet! Sounds perfect for any 80's hard rock. Rolled back a little I'm sure it kills for classic stuff. Your amps sound like they have a lot of "character". Great tones!

  • Thank you. And you're right; it is really versatile. By adjusting the gain settings and the tone circuit, it can cover a wide range of tones. But since I'm basically an '80's player, that's how I set it up. It also depends on the guitar and the feel on the player. On my website you can hear clips from a local jazz player named Billy Barnett. He does some pretty cool stuff with it.

  • Yeah I remember you. You said you would like for the distortion channel to have more gain; well now it does. Not a whole lot more, but I like it better this way. Thanks.

  • Well, now you've definitely got my attention! My financial situation has become a bit tight, but once it improves I'll have to talk with you further about one of these amps. Cheers! -Vin

  • Good! I'll look forward to hearing from you.

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this, Bill. I remember trying this amp out at the New York Amp Show earlier this year, and honestly, it was the highlight of the show for me. Please keep the videos coming!
