  • Excellent playing, and impressive solo. Good stuff. I wonder if you could help with a query; internet chord sites list the 2nd chord of the verse - that falls on the word UNDER - as F# with a Bb bass. You appear to be playing Bb, and Glenn Tillbrook appears to be playing F# - any suggestions?

  • fookin fab solo mate

  • Killer playing -- and I love your guitar collection!!

  • Hi , fantastic playing mate , do you know where I can get the tabulature for this the way you are playing it please?

The tab I have found so far doesnt seem correct and you seem to definately be playing it as per the recording!

  • Excellent mate. One of your best, if not THE best ! Very jealous of your "Rick" collection...i want a 330 fireglo but being a left hander the upside-down "R" is a turn-off. Could you do "Dont look back into the sun"- Libertines if you get a mo ?? Ta.

  • @vespajedi Thanks mate. If you did get a lefty Ric, you could change the tailpiece for a trapieze or harp - if you check out winfieldvintage (dotcom), they custom make left hand versions of both for $50.

I'll have a look at Don't look back over the next week or so

  • Nice work

  • beyond excellance good sir!

  • Superb Fellow!! Your Playing Is Just Great :)

    Rock On!!

    Chris :)

  • This has to be your best upload - the solo has such a sweet tone. For tuition purposes the camera angle is great - but I don't think I'll be attempting this one any time soon as I haven't got the span for covering five frets.

  • @brunster64 Thanks Brunster, I was happy to get this song learnt, fluffed it in a couple of places but its definitely worth having a go at this song if you get time.

  • Great vid.

  • Great tone and spot-on playing. Good to see the Union Jack Supernova getting some time. I like this camera angle--the placement of your hands is much more easy to see.

  • @modfather1965 Thanks - I had to sit down for this one to make it a bit easier to play

  • lol...... Who doesn't like Alvin Stardust... Not really a fan of the Killers, Kings of Leon or the Coral... but other than that all good :).. I should really get myself a camera and upload some covers myself before you and Modfather steal any thunder I might have had.

I have still not done anything with my Rick, just playing it as it is, tho' I did get a custom "strat" built and I'm about to push the button on a "tele" by the same guy (WWR Guitars).

    OP

  • @orangie1 You should definitely upload some stuff. Make sure you use the Ric or the Tele - if you use the strat, I'll be forced to leave an abusive comment!!

  • @spitefulload

I've also got Custom Shop John Sykes Les Paul and my most favoured guitar, a Electrical Guitar Company 500 Custom (#44) Aluminium neck, very Steve Albini/Shellac... Sounds like nothing else... I'll maybe see if I can borrow a camera and try to resist the Strat even tho' it is lovely and sounds great!!!

  • Another top job! With a couple of exceptions it would appear we have a very similar musical taste...

  • @orangie1 Thanks Orangie - what are the exceptions; don't tell me you're not a fan of Alvin Stardust!!
