well that depends on what kind of meat your talking about.The protein found in meat is "complete", meaning that it contains all the amino acids that the body cannot make on it's own.they also contain high amounts of b vitamins which are found only in animal foods.
It also has many minerals that vegtables and fruits have, but the body cannot process the minerals from the vegtables or fruits as easily. But like all things there is a limit as to how much you should have.
Fagstain, besides having a stupid name, you need to do more research on nutrition and vegetarianism. The millions of people who have never eaten nonhuman animal flesh for years and are perfectly healty would find it surprising that they need meat, as you imply.

Those who continue to buy products made out of real fur are the most disgusting people on this planet! When you buy fur, you are saying it's okay to treat animals in this manner just so you can "look" fashionable. Fur is no longer necessary to keep warm. Are people so disengaged from compassion and humanity to be impervious to the pain and suffering of these innocent animals? What kind of world do we live in, to allow these attrocities to continue? It's no wonder so many children are mentally crippled living in an unfeeling world. Yet, these same children go to church, where sadly, they are not taught kindness and compassion for all God's creatures, big and small.

I could not bring my self to watch any bit of this; it breaks my heart just thinking of them. I have nothing but scorn for people who wear fur; animals have feelings too, and we treat them like dung. The only ones wearing fur should be the animals that grow it; they need it more than we do. If it were the skin of a human that we were wearing, there would be so much trouble; how can those who wear fur not see how perverse and cruel that it is?

Even though this clip is only 31 seconds, it is very painful to watch how the appallingly poor conditions under which these animals suffer. Please do anything you can to avoid wearing fur, purchasing fur, or supporting companies that deal in fur. One can aquire and wear gorgeous and striking clothing completely without fur. We should leave the furs where they belong - on the animal's bodies.

This is so absolutely horrific and evil. Why this is allowed to happen so that people with money can have luxury items is beyond me. Fashion is such an asinine reason for anything to suffer. If it must be furry, make it faux! Animal fur is best on the animal. If this industry were to disappear so would the suffering of countless creatures. And I really really wish it would disappear.

We live in a barbaric world. I tell people everyday...contact your senators, your congressmen, your legislators and voice your opinions and tell your friends and family members to do so as well. Let them know, as their constituent, you want them to do something about the use of animals for fur, the factory farming, the brutal trapping, the horse slaughter and the cruel animal testing.
