I think John K. himself made that cut...the BHF was supposed to be George Liquor, but they wouldn't let Kricfalusi have his way on that deal, and he was kind of a dick about it. Same with an episode where the Pipe Family all took a bath together with Ren and Stimpy. John wanted Old Man Pipe to whistle a tune he wrote, but somebody changed it to "Hall of the Mountain King". I don't know if that scene even made it to broadcast. And "Nurse Stimpy" was such a hash John took his name off it totally.

Wow! This was first posted on my 30th birthday! Go figure. This is by far, one of the best Ren & Stimpy cartoons ever aired in my opinion. However, I don't see what the fuss is about the Bloody Head Fairy scene? Especially when Rocko(from Rocko's Modern Life) admitted he likes rainbows only to be bashed for Gay Pride for example. Why wasn't it okay for the Bloody Head Fairy when they didn't ban the suicidal ghost scene at the end is what I'll never understand? To each their own, I guess.

I think it's hilarious how Nickelodeon made such a fuss over the stupidest things...you barely even see any blood! Same with the banned "Mans Best Friend" episode. It was banned for excessive violence, but it's really not that bad.
