Hi Josh, I have been learning piano for nearly 3 years, Im working on the Heroic Polonaise Op53
~ Now the Key changes to Emajor and theres an incredible of octaves involved with the left hand.
I was wondering if you could please create a video with a close up of your hand of different techniques of accomplishing 2 pages of octaves without tension ~ I know it will take time to master a technique but it would be really valuable ! :) Thanks ~~ Martin.
I found an interesting article on the net about letting the fingers seat first. Trying to get to the next position in time to let the fingers seat slightly before actual press occurs. I tried it with Chopin op 25 no 12. It helps. Instead of making the jump and immediately going for the press. Just trying to be there in time to let the fingers settle slightly onto the keys before the actual stroke occurs. I like practicing C,Eb,Gb,Bb, arpeggios for hand shape. Fairly large hands. Reach 11th.
Was wondering if "video requests" means I could I ask you to demonstrate how to do certain things on piano? If so--could you, please show how to play the trill with right hand while the same hand plays the melody in Shostakovich Prelude #10, op 34? Thank you!
@ElementalHarmonyTrio I'd be happy to help you. However, since it's such a specific question, it would probably be a better scenario for you to shoot me an email with a .pdf of the page (so I can see exactly what you are referring to since I don't play that piece) and I will address your question personally. Thanks for your support!
