  • do you think you could show us how you made the clay spider-man

  • that's great Tim, did you use tie downs in his hands and feet?

  • @Kingkongkessler

Hey Kess, thanks for the kind words. Tie downs? There isn't even an armature, he is just clay, the wall is laying flat and gravity does the rest. I do want to point out that to my knowledge, I was the first person to sculpt Spidey with the webbing on his costume popping out, instead of being scratched in, this was in 1989 years before the Raimi movie.

  • does looks like klay and still klay and the beauty of it made me cry :'''D

  • its good but its not cooled claymation if theres no clay its actually stopmotion but good anim 5 stars

  • Hey coolcallumcool,

You are correct, as this is not claymation, that is a trademarked name. I just used the term because people are familiar with it. However it is clay animation. That Spider-Man is made out of colored Pongo clay. Even the webs on his suit are clay.

I am glad you liked it, and thanks for watching.

    Tim

  • oh really cool

  • that was very nicecly done.

  • Thanks gatometalico.

I liked you armature tests that I saw on stop motion magic.

    Thanks for watching,

    Tim

  • Thanks PuffOReilly.

    Glad you liked it.

    Tim

  • Love your work

  • Thanks Cyborgman3000.

  • How the hell does this only have 3.5 stars??

    Insanity!

    Easy 5 stars from me.

  • Thanks NDoubleDC,

The first or second person to rate this clip gave it one star, so that's why the rating is low.

    Thanks again for watching.

  • Nice 5 stars

  • Thanks clayermaker.

  • very nice! how did you keep him on the wall long enough to take a shot?

  • Hey paulrkev66

The wall is laying flat, and the camera is pointing down.

    Thanks for watching.

    Tim

  • I think they should have made a movie out of this.

  • Probably, but it's not my character. Plus he was made of clay and needed extensive care between shots. Thanks for viewing.

  • cool, how did you make it look so old?

  • It is old. I shot this in 1990 on 16MM film. By the way Spidey is made of colored clay with no armature. All the detailing on him is clay.

  • cool, good job! is this what you do in life?

  • I do it professionally when I can.

  • awesome, really nice puppets...

  • Awesome!!! a little bite short but very nice and amazing!!!

  • Thanks, it was just a test, and the model was quite beat up after only a few shots.

  • hes spying at some one 0.o

  • Yes isn't that's what you do when you've been granted super powers.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Wow

  • Very nice. I also do animation. Check out mine. Currently I am attempting to make a very good spiderman/venom fight scene and I was researching other animations for help. You probably made the best one i've found so far. Tell me, how did you make him move on the wall so smoothly? And what camera did you use?
