Sure, Robert is hot, but the reason everyone loves him is that he is described as the most beautiful guy in the world, and when you are reading the books as Bella, it's almost like you fall in love with him a tiny bit too. Only books that are written from the first person can do that. When you read about Bella and Edward you want it so much, that you want the real version. it's all psychological. That's why the books are better than the films, and why new moon will be the best film.
