He was my favourite player as a kid along with Maldini. My favourite striker in the world. I knew that Ronaldo (brazilian) was a better all round striker but liked Shevchenko more. They were always my fantasy pairing though, as an upfront, with Shevchenko as the conventional centre-forward and Ronaldo as the Deep-lying forward who can dribble at people, provide assists and use his ability to drag defenders out of postion in order to create space and get easier through balls for Shevchencko.

The didn't play to his strengths and instead expected him to adapt to there's. It has also done unfair damage to his reputation and legacy, with people saying he wasn't good enough. If he had stayed I think he would have had another couple of years at the top and so would have Milan.
