I still don't believe that Lyra and Crys are separate characters. I know the Ken said he "started from scratch" but for all we know, he could've just meant that he just changed her hair color and clothing, it doesn't change that it isn't her. Why would they do that? Every other character had a remake of themselves and besides, Lyra takes the spot of Crystal so she obviously is a remake of her. If Nintendo had wanted Kris to still be alive, she would have been in SS and HG. Also, that's Whitney.

Regarding the prototype Kris sprite(s), wasn't the screenshot shown in Game Freak's blog RE: Pokémon Crystal and not Gold and Silver? Never mind me though; I'm just curious.

(Thinks how Bulbapedia once referred to the Generation II 'unused track' [GB version of JP Stadium G/S' Pokémon Mobile GB interface; "Vs recorder precursor"] existing in Gold and Silver whilst in actuality it only exists in Crystal and probably is used for the GB's side when connected?)
