The media lies about things all the time and in reality shows, they edit from what you do to what you say to either make you look bad or good. Whatever they can do for ratings. For example, you see some good things in the little interview at the end of show, they edit your words and take words out to make it look like your saying bad things. I find it so disgusting that kids have to appear in this crap. Where the woman talked about the kid being filmed crying is so true - who would want to be filmed crying? And now they have to put up with their parents having a public divorce. They need to come up with new laws for kids being on reality tv. It's not "working" in the entertainment industry - it's real life.  Sure Kate & Jon can control their own portrayals better - but they're adults!

(cont'd) If you watched the last show of last season you would know that Jon didn't want to continue the show, but Kate simply loves the attention now. Ane if you watched the second show of this season the other night, you'd see that Jon and Kate seem to be far more comfortable with each other than the tabloids are reporting. It's not a lovefest and they're separate most of the time, but it's working in a Bill and Hillary sort of way.

If I heard the premise of the show, I would probably agree with you that it would never work. But I find it mesmerizing watching the logistics as they go to amusement parks and toy stores. Some things can't be explained. They just have the "it" factor. They simply work. But I will say this: The sextuplets are cute and fun to watch and Kate is very, umm, natural in front of the camera. Problem Two- The fact that it focuses on the children- too much so. I've watched. Everytime one went "BAAWW ;__;" the camera zoomed in on its face. It's damned disgusting.

Problem Three, and one I don't expect you to think about: the psychological damage. They'll have took back on their stardom and be shamed. It's legal humiliation, and I don't think the kids got a say. And they can't do anything about it.
