More than one plumber I know refuses to install anything unless he bought him himself.  This is because of the large number of people who buy something that seems like a great deal, but it won't fit into the space they want, or it will require extensive changes to the plumbing in their home, or it's a piece of junk that the customer will expect the plumber to guarantee for a lifetime.

There is nothing more frustrating than buying a piece of equipment and having it poorly installed. We bought an expensive furnace/air conditioning system and the company we bought from sent a sub-contractor to install it. It was a poor installation and I can feel this Plaintiff's pain.

@remembawhen Although you are right that is should have been done like that, however you need to speak up. I bet if he went in there before they did it and went, "You know, I'd really like for it to be horizontal." I can almost bet that it would have been done like that.

@remembawhen Plaintiff admitted he knew nothing about boiler installation. Seems to me he read the manual after the fact to try and get the job done for free.... but didnt quite understand the technical jargon

@remembawhen Well the uneven-ness of the boiler seems to be plaintiff's fault. Otherwise his chief complaint was shot down right in the instructions.
