By the damage and sheer shocking strikes those Whales did to Megalodon, it would've ultimately killed it and with multiple sonar-strikes coming it would've rendered it dead (as with all sharks, they must keep moving to breath, which inevitably killed it due to it could not breath and die of suffocation)

I do not know if the megalodon is extinct, nobody can prove something is extinct. But I agree that megalodon would have much trouble to keep up nowadays. there are not enough whales for him to eat. This is a good guess why cetaceans started living in pods, this allows them to protect themselves from sharks that would've made easy meals out of them. However a lone orca would still probably be at at least some risk of a deadly attack from a large shark. I as a palaeontologist, and animal researcher am going to set it in stone, I have personally found fossils of prehistoric orcas tails with the teeth of great white sharks imbedded in the bone. This leads me to believe that exceptionally large whites today may have been able to attack an adult orca with a similar strategy, attack from behind, and cripple it. Once the shark attacks the tail the orca would be unable to fight back
Starvation is the greatest predator of all. Megs were too big and ate there way to to extinction they simply were too big to feast on whales. Its also a blessing that there existence made a nice journey without our presence. But its a shame such a magnificent creature had perished. @SmokebuoyII actually the meg didnt go extinct it just shrunk into a great white if it actually went extinct there would be no sharks period. They both had to change to the environment and it supposly ate everything so there was not much left to eat so they just gradually shrunk over time

I don't want to start a fight but I'm saying this, I think a pod of 2 bull 30 ft long orca could take on ( not easily) a Meg, but megs are awesome, and so are orcas, but today, orcas are the true rulers of the seas. I know that orca in the orca vs shark video was smaller, but it could still take on a 13ft great white (the orca being 20ft) but an adult bull orca could defiantly taken a full grown 20 ft great white. Case closed. And orcas could kill megaladons, megs could kill orcas, but in truth

This is a good guess why cetaceans started living in pods, this allows them to protect themselves from sharks that would've made easy meals out of them. However a lone orca would still probably be at at least some risk of a deadly attack from a large shark. Anyone who disagrees with me is welcome to, however I do not wish for any hateful comments, it only make you look bad.

To all the people fighting over the "orca vs shark" thing. I as a palaeontologist, and animal researcher am going to set it in stone, I have personally found fossils of prehistoric orcas tails with the teeth of great white sharks imbedded in the bone. This leads me to believe that exceptionally large whites today may have been able to attack an adult orca with a similar strategy, attack from behind, and cripple it. Once the shark attacks the tail the orca would be unable to fight back

Starvation is the greatest predator of all. Megs were too big and ate there way to to extinction they simply were too big to feast on whales. Its also a blessing that there existence made a nice journey without our presence. But its a shame such a magnificent creature had perished. I hope i live long enough to see Megaladon being discovered if they are in the deep seas hope they dont being eaten by the Meg like sperm whales when they are discovered.
