This was my 1st bee trap out. The wire cone used is best because the bees cannot find the opening they came out of due to all the other holes in the wire. I moved the catch box close to the tree where the bees were gathering and yes they all went into the new hive. I never got the queen to leave the tree after leaving the box there for 3 weeks.

did you get all the bees in new hive.
I think if you had darker pipe it would have worked faster
