  • i was there in legends night club in manchester when this was played, some black lads were having a dacning challange was a mint tune stu allan droped it

  • There were some good UK house/techno tracks before this, but this was the first one where I thought - we've cracked it! Our own UK sound, not just copying US house & techno.

  • Back to the warehouse days...relax your mind and your feet will follow!! Sweat it out..Manchester railway arches 1988

  • rob gordon, parrot, winston hazel. good times xxxx

  • Sorry! Completely forgot about this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Respect to the sheffield bleep n bass lot for this stuff, all I know is that i was a kid listening to radio ham in 1988 onwards, i heard some thumping bass interference on the FM frequencies, as soon as I heard the Centreforce / Fantasy / Friends FM thing I was hooked, all the way out in Essex it was like aliens had landed or something ;)

  • The very first house tune I bought at WARP records Sheffield.!! Gorgeous memories xx

  • @landrusski back in the day this genre was known as HOUSE.

  • @landrusski ummm its house u fail

  • @adammills71 For me is more Bleep n Bass that house

  • @landrusski its house music there is no such thing as just bleep and bass

  • makes me wanna cry.. wish i could go back to 1990. good times. bad as fuck tune.

  • @CM1974leeds it was bleak, black and white time.. almost.. however this music presented us with a glimpse of the future, and offered a sense of optimism... regardless of the modern versions that this music has spawned - Deadmau5, and everything since and after .. and before.. these tracks were written with only 1 generation away from the source.. Detroit - Chicago 10983 onwards. The modern music these days do not reflect a sense of optimism, but more consumerism. Which is why you wanna go back.

  • @RadiumAudioLtd deep stuff, I was from Essex and only 11 but this was without doubt the "Intelligent" genre, mental-visual hypnosis, hits parts other music doesn't reach. As far as optimism goes, I thought this track was quite dark and deep, and it dawned on me after about a week of following this scene that the people who were running and spinning these tunes on the London FM pirates / raves were prob. crim types. Heh. but wth I was happy :) we were happy people.

  • WOW what else can you say.. .. Set End Crew you know who you are

  • @TheKurgan73 the sett end was the club of 89' in the north.

  • very nice

  • What a tune!! I've not heard this for years but this was hugely influential on my Cyclone tracks. Awesome stuff Mr Gordon.

  • This track was for DANCERS, no matter where you were in the club as soon as you heard that intro you'd head to the dance floor. My alltime favorite track
