  • Not liking that exterior design at all>>>>>Looks too much like the Chevy Cruze........

  • I wouldn't mind this car if the front wasn't so ugly.

The name "skyactiv" sounds tacky as well.

  • Most Foreign cars are now made here in the USA.

  • @soyntgo4it this one isn't... and next year this and the mazda2 are going to be made in Mexico (it will be much cheaper to ship the cars from Mexico than from Japan!)

  • @andavid Its a Mazda 2 anyway no one cares and Mazda still hasn't made it official yet.

  • @soyntgo4it It is official... they have already began building the damn factory... it is also official that Mazda 3 and 2 will be made there as well as the engines... I don't understand that American hate of anything that is not made in the USA... most thing sold there are not made there!!! have you ever heard of china? ipods, computers, phones and many other things!! luckily not your car still but many come from other countries!!

  • @andavid You dont understand why Americans prefer built in the USA hmm cause we need the jobs here. Do you know we have a lot of people out of work here that is why.

  • @soyntgo4it I do understand your point, but in any case the problem is not really buying american made, it is deeper than that, it involves quality, production costs and all of that, car makers prefer to build elsewhere because it is cheaper (and usually with the same or better quality)...

  • @andavid Quality not always the case since its cheaper labor you don't always get the best quality out of cheap labor .

  • @soyntgo4it At least in my country, Mexico, people who work at auto plants do not earn as much as in North America, but still the cost of living in Mexico is much lower, renting, or buying a house, public transport and food is much cheaper than in the USA, so they do not need to earn as much, in average they earn about 13 or 14 thousand USD yearly just enough for them and above the national average for people who work at factories!! i do believe that in china or india low quiality is a concern!!

  • @andavid I doubt it as a quality aspect seen better.

  • @soyntgo4it Good point. Just dont confuse American brand with American made. There are so many cars from the big 3 made in Mexico while all the Japanese and Korean companies build right here and provide us with jobs while Ford, Chevy and Dodge gladly send them over seas for the cheap slave labor.

  • You don't need blind spot monitoring if you have your mirrors adjusted properly. The mirrors should give you a panoramic view to the sides and behind the car instead of all three mirrors giving you a view to the rear of the car.

  • That front end just isn't very attractive. It would be funny to put two strips of Gutter Guard on the front bumper so it looks like it's wearing braces. And what the hell is "Skyactiv"? What that got to do with anything automotive?

  • @ghrpdx Skyactiv is referring to the engine's direct-injection technology, and efficiency refinements of the car. in this case, it's got lots to do with anything automotive. If you look at a Kia or Hyundai, they have "GDI" engines, Ford has the SFE package on the Focus and Fiesta, and VW has a Polo "BluMotion" model in Europe. it's all about the trade name to make the same technologies seem unique to each manufacturer.

  • @TheMattGosselin you're right that alot of this is just about labelling similar technology to differentiate from other manufacturers but Skyactiv is not just direct injection. It also uses extremely high compression ratios that are not common in gasoline engines. In effect, Mazda is blending diesel and gasoline engine technology to increase power and efficiency. In this sense they are ahead of the curve because that is where the future of the internal combustion engine is headed

  • @TheMattGosselin Skyactiv is not simply a "high efficiency package" like alot of manufacturers offer, this is the future of engine technology for Mazda. they want to eventually make all their engines in all their models Skyactiv engines. i really respect Mazda for taking this real innovative engineering approach instead of following everyone else into the stupid hybrid fad.

  • @TheMattGosselin I know Skyactiv is Mazda's designation for high efficiency, but it's like they pulled the name out of their ass. GDI - gas direct injection; SFE - super/superior fuel economy; SkyActiv - ????

  • @ghrpdx you could say the same thing about Maserati's Skyhook traction control system. At least Mazda's name has something to do with the environment...

  • that mazda look happy

  • I've always liked the Mazda 3 5-door. Looking forward to what the future holds for this car.

  • What about braking?

  • seems kind of pricey to me for an econobox. Id rather spend that scratch on the turbo dodge dart.

  • What is skyactive really? I haven't read into it yet.

  • The competition is slowly catching up ... time for a overhaul and not just a smiley face for the Mazda 3.

  • God I love how Mazda gets the manual shifting right!!!

  • I hope one day Mazda will get rid of that happy face, cheesing grill. You can only imagine how unnerving it is to be driving down the highway and seeing a car smiling at me in my rear view mirror.

  • @accord03 58mpg..........check out the MazdaCanada youtube channel.

  • @jimlasalle mpg shown in canada is fucking retarted. I live in canada, you need to be able to see thruw the lies on the price sheet.

  • @Lambo6fo agreed

  • Smileey faaaaysss

  • Mazda PR people must be smoking something....same car gets 58mpg in Canada. How's that possible?

  • @jimlasalle Don't the mean 58 km/g, its around 36mpg.

  • @accord03 One U.S gallon= 0.832 Canadian or "Imperial" gallon. So in Canada the Mazda 3 gets 58 miles per "imperial" gallon.

  • @jimlasalle The American gallon is a different size than a Canadian gallon. Are you smoking something?

  • now a day, car market staring moving toward direct injection now.

  • John Davis forgot to show the braking test for this model.

  • amazing improvements

  • STOP SMILING AT ME!!!!!!!!

  • @DevPack i couldn't agree more.. the car never stop smiling..

  • John Davis, I want to be like you doing the thing you love for over 30 years

  • i think its super gay like all foreign cars

  • @CowsRCool2KJHQ haa you sir are a ignorant idiot ... by the looks of it probably racist too

  • @hultii haha sir you are a dumb fool, liking and prolly buying foreign cars... hurting the economy, tool

  • @CowsRCool2KJHQ im not american .. but just to let you know buying foreign cars helps your economy because many of these manufactures have factory's in usa so they are giving american people jobs .. only thing you are doing by buying only american cars is keeping some of them alive even if they are not competition for eu or asian cars

  • @hultii good and stay out of the country, and id rather have a road where only american cars are, than foreign and american

  • @hultii ik

  • @CowsRCool2KJHQ Sir buying foreign products does help the economy of any country, they pay import tax (you are also paying for it), this tax goes to the economy of your country... and btw most things americans buy are not made in the USA, many electronics come from Asia, and I bet you most cars in the USA road are not made in the USA, many are made in Asia, Canada and Mexico, as well as some european made... we are living in a globalized world...

  • I'd buy it just not with that interior color yuk....
