  • where did you get motors that small?

  • @theonelinerkid

It's the vibrational alarm motor from an old cell phone.

  • how do you make this ?

  • @SuperMario64N64

Take a look at the video by the Evil Mad Scientists -

search for Bristle Bot Evil Mad on youtube.

  • XD the music makes this bot even better

  • this is so cool! i spent the last half hour making one but it turned out to be kindof sloppy (the brush was bad) and it just went around in circles lol

  • I've been considering bottom mounting the motor by removing the middle bristles to lower the center of gravity, but your technique with the battery clip and the ability to position the battery is very innovative. Nice work.

  • Did you do anything special to prevent tipping? I'm noticing it stays upright much better than the others I've seen.

  • @turnbolt11 thanks for the comment. We did nothing special, just tried to align everything smoothly along the middle axis. Maybe it's the type of toothbrush or the fact that we bent the bristles a little while they were wet - as written in the description. It was simply our lucky first (and only so far) go at this type of robot after coming across the evil mad scientist's how-to.

  • Dang! Look at it go. What is your secret to such a fast moving Bristlebot?

  • @14Mew Thanks for the comment! I added a few more "secret" details to the video description.

  • @DrRob107 Iusually read the description on good videos, but it must have slipped my mind this time. Thanks for the reply
