If there is any, I would like to see footage of the 1961 pre-game fight between the Clemson fans and the SC fraternity that ran onto the field impersonating Clemson. Later, a dead milk cow was found. A frat member confessed that they were going to bring it out as Clemson's Homecoming Queen. I guessed the poor cow was literally scared to death in the midst of all the excitement.

USC attempted to create a little magic in those solid black uniforms and had they won, it would have been great. And after being their first victim, USC was the first team to beat Clemson in all orange in '84... I like that little stat!.

I prefer they just do the Penn State thing and not worry about the fashion statement; just win games!

clemsonown, you forgot to mention about all the ncaa violations that came down on clemson after that 1981 championship, you won it the only way clemson knows how by cheating. Clemson plays dirty always has and the officials on the field seem to have no problem overlooking them, IE the the push off play about 10 years ago. USC beat down the number 1 team in the country earlier this year, beat down georgia and kicked the shit out of UF. Clemson sucks this year, just deal with it.

Well, Clemson wasn't going anywhere that year. From 1982-84, they were on probation for recruiting violations. I blame that on Charlie Pell. He left for Florida following the 1978 season because he knew what was fixing to happen. Tommy Bowden resigned today at Clemson, but I say they will never win another title because of what they did to Danny Ford after the 1989 season.
