I believe my mother is either a sadistic narcissist or a sociopath. I know she thinks she's better than everyone and yes she puts people down alot especially when they're happy but everyone who has a narcisisstic parent says my mom is a sociopath just because she hits people.
so, In my heart of hearts, I now know and truly feel that predators seek their preys for their own benefit and comfort. I just hope another partner hasn't fallen for his BULLSHIT, cruelties, and torturing.
I have experienced these very same behaviors from Narcissistics. I have left all 3 of cruel characters for my sanity as well as my children's. It got to the point that my children could not even study or concentrate in school because of the last evil and vile bastard. Thank God I left when I could and I said good riddance to him, he was crying the day I left but I couldn't care anymore and I didn't look back at him.
@WolfLantern1 Try growing up with a mother who has a diagnosis of Narcissistic Borderline Personality Disorder who is more Psychopathic/Sociopath than Narcissistic. It's HORRID.
I don't think a narcissist has to INTEND to hurt people in order to cause pain. I think the lack of mature empathy and lack of mature attunement to the feelings of others makes his superiority/inflexibility in itself offensive and destructive. And when the narcissist feels punishment is in order, I am sure he feels the punishment is deserved, but still lacks the mature empathy that would allow him to "know" the pain of the punished.
