Im sad to say though that I live in south Florida and Iguana are killing our native wildlife. There here because of Irresponsible pet owners releasing there Iguanas .You can read more about it in the book .

are you kidding yourself? trees are life, they are liviing, and no they can't always be replaced, especially specialized trees that require old growth or keystone species. Also, trees give us life by giving us oxygen, one small tree can supply oxygen for 2 or 3 people.

Geo is correct, Iguanas are not native, but feral in florida, and eating them is at least better than killing and discarding.

i think it's a (large) she, and sum ppl say iguanas sometimes eat pinkie mice (hence going 4 the toes!!) as 4 the blood... iguanas r attracted to eat bright food like fruit and things, the blood probably looked like a fruit or flower on the floor to her. maybe she liked the taste, who knows!! but yeah that could get v dangerous to any kids around. she's not being aggressive, just inquisitive. if she was being aggressive you'd know about it!!! and stitches would have been required in that toe...

igs are vegitarians too much protein will kill them, it's bearded dragons that are feed the pinkie mice. As for this ig it was just hungry, they could have feed it if they had fruits or veggies, but like any animal it is not a good idea to try to pick up. You wouldn't try and pet a wild dog would you? Same with igs, they can be aggressive and even carry germs and diseases, so for all you people who think these people are being sissies do your homework!

Wow, I have NEVER seen an iguana do that, and I'm around them all the time. He's obviously used to people, probably been fed. Maybe people have fed him meat and he's gotten a taste for it.

Is this a condo or timeshare or something? He's probably used to guests. I think if he's that aggressive one of the locals should make a taco out of him. He could do a LOT of damage to a child. I'm an iguana lover, but that could be really dangerous.
